హరిత ఏలూరు నిర్మాణం కోసం ప్రజలంతా స్వచ్ఛందంగా ముందుకు రావాలని జిల్లా టీడీపీ అధ్యక్షుడు, ఏలూరు ఎమ్మెల్యే బడేటి చంటి పిలుపునిచ్చారు. ప్రపంచ పర్యావరణ దినోత్సవాన్ని పురస్కరించుకుని శుక్రవారం నగరంలోని 20వ డివిజన్లో ఆయన సైకిల్ యాత్ర నిర్వహించి పర్యావరణ పరిరక్షణపై అవగాహన కల్పించారు. కాలుష్య నియంత్రణకు, ఇంధన పొదుపుకు సైకిల్ వినియోగమే ఉత్తమ మార్గమని పేర్కొన్నారు.
ప్రధాని నరేంద్ర మోదీ, ముఖ్యమంత్రి చంద్రబాబు సూచించిన ఇంధన పొదుపు సందేశాన్ని ప్రజల్లోకి తీసుకెళ్లే లక్ష్యంతో ఈ కార్యక్రమాన్ని చేపట్టినట్లు తెలిపారు. అనంతరం కృష్ణ కాలువ గట్టు, పంపుల చెరువు పరిసర ప్రాంతాల్లో కూటమి నాయకులు, కార్పొరేషన్ అధికారులతో కలిసి మొక్కలు నాటి ట్రీ గార్డులు ఏర్పాటు చేశారు.
ఈ సందర్భంగా ఎమ్మెల్యే మాట్లాడుతూ :
భావితరాల భవిష్యత్తు కోసం పర్యావరణ పరిరక్షణ ప్రతి ఒక్కరి బాధ్యత అని అన్నారు. చెట్ల పెంపకాన్ని ప్రజా ఉద్యమంగా మార్చాలని, ఇంధన పొదుపుతో పాటు పచ్చదనాన్ని పెంపొందించే దిశగా అందరూ కృషి చేయాలని కోరారు. ప్రజల్లో పర్యావరణ చైతన్యం పెంపొందించడమే ఈ కార్యక్రమం ప్రధాన ఉద్దేశమని తెలిపారు.
People Must Become Partners in Building a Green Helapuri

District TDP President and Eluru MLA Badeti Chanti has called upon citizens to voluntarily participate in the mission of building a greener Eluru. Marking World Environment Day, he conducted a bicycle rally in the city’s 20th Division on Friday to create awareness
about environmental protection.
Speaking on the occasion, the MLA said that cycling is one of the best ways to reduce pollution and conserve fuel. He stated that the initiative was undertaken to spread among the public the message of fuel conservation advocated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu.
Later, along with alliance leaders and Municipal Corporation officials, he planted saplings and installed tree guards along the Krishna Canal embankment and in the surroundings of Pampula Cheruvu.
Addressing the gathering, Mr. Chanti said that protecting the environment is the responsibility of every citizen and is essential for securing a better future for coming generations. He emphasized the need to transform tree plantation into a people’s movement and urged everyone to contribute towards increasing green cover while promoting fuel conservation.
He added that the primary objective of the programme was to enhance environmental awareness among the public and encourage collective action for sustainable development.
