విజయవాడ టూ టౌన్ పోలీసులకు అందిన సమాచారం మేరకు.. మంగళవారం మధ్యాహ్నం నైనవరం శివారు పోలవరం కాలువ సమీపంలోని క్వారీలో నిర్వహిస్తున్న బహిరంగ కోడిపందాలపై పోలీసులు ఆకస్మిక దాడి నిర్వహించారు.
ఈ దాడిలో కోడిపందాలు ఆడుతున్న ఆరుగురు వ్యక్తులను అదుపులోకి తీసుకున్నారు.
ఈ ఆపరేషన్లో ఎస్సైలు రామకృష్ణ, నవీన్ తమ సిబ్బందితో కలిసి పాల్గొన్నారు. నిందితుల వద్ద నుంచి రూ.9,840 నగదు, ఒక కోడి పుంజు, ఒక కోడి కత్తిని స్వాధీనం చేసుకున్నారు. స్వాధీనం చేసుకున్న వస్తువులను సీజ్ చేసిన పోలీసులు నిందితులపై కేసు నమోదు చేసి దర్యాప్తు చేపట్టారు.
బహిరంగ ప్రదేశాల్లో చట్టవిరుద్ధ కార్యకలాపాలకు పాల్పడితే కఠిన చర్యలు తప్పవని పోలీసులు హెచ్చరించారు.

₹9,840 in Cash, a Rooster, and a Cockfighting Knife Seized
Acting on credible information, the Vijayawada Two Town Police conducted a surprise raid on an illegal cockfighting event being held on Tuesday afternoon at a quarry near the Polavaram Canal in the outskirts of Nainavaram.
During the operation, police apprehended six persons who were allegedly participating in the illegal cockfighting activity.
The raid was carried out by Sub-Inspectors Ramakrishna and Naveen along with their police personnel. The police seized ₹9,840 in cash, one rooster, and one cockfighting knife from the accused.
A case has been registered against the accused, and further investigation is underway.
The police warned that stringent legal action will be taken against anyone found engaging in illegal activities in public places.
