SBR గ్రాండ్ వద్ద బల్క్ వేస్ట్ జనరేటర్ తనిఖీ
NGT నిబంధనల అమలుపై కమిషనర్ దృష్టి
తాడేపల్లిగూడెం మున్సిపల్ కమిషనర్ M. యేసుబాబు ఆధ్వర్యంలో రైల్వే స్టేషన్ రోడ్డులోని SBR గ్రాండ్ హోటల్ వద్ద “ఆపరేషన్ క్లీన్ స్వీప్” కార్యక్రమంలో భాగంగా తనిఖీ నిర్వహించారు.
NGT మార్గదర్శకాల ప్రకారం రోజుకు 100 కిలోల కంటే ఎక్కువ తడి చెత్త ఉత్పత్తి చేసే ప్రతి హోటల్, రెస్టారెంట్ తప్పనిసరిగా బల్క్ వేస్ట్ జనరేటర్ (BWG) యంత్రాన్ని ఏర్పాటు చేసుకుని అక్కడికక్కడే కంపోస్ట్ తయారు చేసుకోవాలని కమిషనర్ గారు స్పష్టం చేశారు. SBR గ్రాండ్లో ఏర్పాటు చేసిన BWG పనితీరును కమిషనర్ గారు పరిశీలించి, ఉత్పత్తి అవుతున్న కంపోస్ట్ నాణ్యతను అడిగి తెలుసుకున్నారు. హోటల్ యాజమాన్యంతో మాట్లాడి తడి చెత్తను 100% అక్కడే ప్రాసెస్ చేయాలని, మిగిలిన చెత్తను మాత్రమే మున్సిపల్ వాహనాలకు ఇవ్వాలని సూచించారు.
ఈ సందర్భంగా కమిషనర్ M. యేసుబాబు మాట్లాడుతూ :
“NGT గైడ్లైన్స్ ప్రకారం 100kg+ తడి చెత్త ఉత్పత్తి చేసే హోటల్స్, రెస్టారెంట్లు, మార్కెట్లు, క్యాంటీన్లు తప్పకుండా BWG పెట్టుకోవాలని, ఇది పర్యావరణానికి మేలు చేస్తుందని, మున్సిపాలిటీపై భారం తగ్గుతుందని, ఆపరేషన్ క్లీన్ స్వీప్ ద్వారా ప్రతి బల్క్ వేస్ట్ జనరేటర్ను తనిఖీ చేస్తామని, నిబంధనలు పాటించని వారిపై చర్యలు తప్పవని హెచ్చరించారు.

Commissioner Focuses on Implementation of NGT Guidelines
As part of the “Operation Clean Sweep” initiative, Tadepalligudem Municipal Commissioner M. Yesubabu conducted an inspection at SBR Grand Hotel, located on Railway Station Road.
The Commissioner emphasized that, in accordance with the guidelines of the National Green Tribunal (NGT), every hotel, restaurant, or establishment generating more than 100 kilograms of wet waste per day must install a Bulk Waste Generator (BWG) system and process the waste on-site to produce compost.
During the inspection, the Commissioner reviewed the functioning of the BWG unit installed at SBR Grand and examined the quality of the compost being produced. He interacted with the hotel management and instructed them to ensure that 100% of the wet waste is processed within the premises, while only the remaining non-compostable waste should be handed over to municipal sanitation vehicles.
Speaking on the occasion, Commissioner M. Yesubabu said :
“According to NGT guidelines, all hotels, restaurants, markets, canteens, and other establishments generating more than 100 kilograms of wet waste per day must mandatorily install a Bulk Waste Generator (BWG). This practice is environmentally beneficial and significantly reduces the burden on municipal waste management systems. Under the Operation Clean Sweep campaign, every bulk waste generator facility will be inspected, and strict action will be taken against those who fail to comply with the prescribed regulations.”
