అవగాహన శిబిరంలో చింతమనేని పిలుపు
డ్రైవింగ్ లైసెన్స్ లేకుండా మోటారు వాహనాలు నడపడం చట్టవిరుద్ధమే కాకుండా ప్రమాదకరమని దెందులూరు ఎమ్మెల్యే చింతమనేని ప్రభాకర్ అన్నారు. పెదవేగి ఎంపీడీవో కార్యాలయంలో మంగళవారం నిర్వహించిన డ్రైవింగ్ లైసెన్స్ అవగాహన శిబిరంలో ఆయన పాల్గొని మాట్లాడారు.
జిల్లా ఇన్చార్జి మంత్రి నాదెండ్ల మనోహర్ అధ్యక్షతన జరిగిన డీఆర్సీ సమావేశంలో తీసుకున్న నిర్ణయాల మేరకు, జిల్లా రవాణా శాఖ ఆధ్వర్యంలో ఎల్ఎల్ఆర్, డ్రైవింగ్ లైసెన్స్ల కోసం సారథి పోర్టల్ ద్వారా దరఖాస్తు చేసుకునే విధానంపై ప్రజలకు అవగాహన కల్పిస్తున్నట్లు తెలిపారు.
ఈ సందర్భంగా ఎమ్మెల్యే చింతమనేని మాట్లాడుతూ :
వాహన ప్రమాదాల సమయంలో డ్రైవింగ్ లైసెన్స్ లేకపోవడం వల్ల బాధితులు బీమా ప్రయోజనాలు కోల్పోతున్నారని పేర్కొన్న ఎమ్మెల్యే, ప్రతి వాహనదారుడు లైసెన్స్ పొందేలా నియోజకవర్గ వ్యాప్తంగా అవగాహన కార్యక్రమాలు కొనసాగిస్తామని చెప్పారు. ఆన్లైన్ విధానంపై అవగాహన పెంపొందితే మధ్యవర్తుల మోసాలకు గురికాకుండా ఉంటారని సూచించారు.
ద్విచక్ర వాహనదారులు తప్పనిసరిగా హెల్మెట్ ధరించాలని, తలకు గాయాల వల్లే ఎక్కువ ప్రమాద మరణాలు సంభవిస్తున్నాయని ఆయన అన్నారు. హెల్మెట్ లేకుండా విధులకు వచ్చే సచివాలయ సిబ్బంది జీతాలు నిలిపివేయాలని ఎంపీడీవోకు ఆదేశించారు.
ఉప రవాణా కమిషనర్ షేక్ కరీమ్ మాట్లాడుతూ :
డ్రైవింగ్ లైసెన్స్ ప్రాముఖ్యతను ప్రజలకు వివరించి రోడ్డు భద్రతపై అవగాహన పెంచాలని కోరారు. అనంతరం ఎల్ఎల్ఆర్ స్లాట్లు బుక్ చేసుకున్న పౌరులకు సంబంధిత పత్రాలను అందజేశారు.

Driving License Mandatory for Every Vehicle Owner
Chintamaneni Calls for Public Awareness on Road Safety
Driving motor vehicles without a valid driving license is not only illegal but also highly dangerous, said Chintamaneni Prabhakar. He was speaking at a Driving License Awareness Camp held on Tuesday at the Pedavegi MPDO Office.
The MLA stated that, in accordance with the decisions taken at the DRC meeting chaired by Nadendla Manohar, the District Transport Department has been conducting awareness programs to educate citizens on applying for Learner’s Licenses (LLR) and Driving Licenses through the Sarathi Portal.
Speaking on the occasion, MLA Chintamaneni said :
Many road accident victims lose insurance benefits because they do not possess a valid driving license. He emphasized that awareness programs would continue across the constituency to ensure that every vehicle owner obtains a driving license. He also noted that increased awareness of the online application process would help people avoid being cheated by middlemen.
He further urged two-wheeler riders to wear helmets at all times, pointing out that a majority of fatal road accidents result from head injuries. The MLA instructed the MPDO to withhold the salaries of Secretariat employees who report to duty without wearing helmets.

The Deputy Transport Commissioner stressed the importance of educating the public about the significance of driving licenses and promoting road safety awareness. Later, relevant documents were distributed to citizens who had booked slots for obtaining their Learner’s Licenses (LLRs).
The awareness camp was organized by the District Transport Department as part of its ongoing efforts to improve road safety and ensure compliance with traffic regulations.
