ఒలింపిక్ రన్కు జెండా ఊపి ప్రారంభం – క్రీడాకారులకు సన్మానం
క్రీడాకారులను అన్ని విధాలా ప్రోత్సహించడంతో పాటు క్రీడా ప్రమాణాల మెరుగుదలకు కూటమి ప్రభుత్వం ప్రత్యేక ప్రాధాన్యత ఇస్తోందని జిల్లా తెలుగుదేశం పార్టీ అధ్యక్షులు, ఏలూరు ఎమ్మెల్యే బడేటి చంటి అన్నారు.
అంతర్జాతీయ ఒలింపిక్ దినోత్సవం సందర్భంగా.. మంగళవారం స్థానిక ఇండోర్ స్టేడియంలో ఉమ్మడి పశ్చిమ గోదావరి జిల్లా ఒలింపిక్ అసోసియేషన్ ఆధ్వర్యంలో నిర్వహించిన కార్యక్రమంలో ఆయన ముఖ్య అతిథిగా పాల్గొన్నారు. ఈ సందర్భంగా పలువురు క్రీడాకారులను ఘనంగా సన్మానించి అభినందించారు.
అనంతరం ఇండోర్ స్టేడియం నుంచి ప్రారంభమైన ఒలింపిక్ రన్కు ఎమ్మెల్యే చంటి జెండా ఊపి శ్రీకారం చుట్టారు. ఒలింపిక్ జ్యోతిని చేతబట్టి రన్లో పాల్గొని క్రీడాకారుల్లో ఉత్సాహం నింపారు.
ఈ సందర్భంగా ఎమ్మెల్యే చంటి మాట్లాడుతూ :
క్రీడలకు పూర్వవైభవం తీసుకురావడమే ప్రభుత్వ లక్ష్యమన్నారు. ఇప్పటికే రాష్ట్రంలో 420 మంది క్రీడాకారులకు ఉద్యోగ అవకాశాలు కల్పించినట్లు తెలిపారు. 2036 ఒలింపిక్ క్రీడలను భారత్లో నిర్వహించే దిశగా ప్రధాని నరేంద్ర మోదీ ప్రత్యేక కార్యాచరణతో ముందుకు సాగుతున్నారని పేర్కొన్నారు.
ఈ కార్యక్రమంలో ఉమ్మడి జిల్లా ఒలింపిక్ అసోసియేషన్ అధ్యక్షుడు బడేటి వెంకటరామయ్య, ఏపీ వెయిట్ లిఫ్టింగ్ అసోసియేషన్ కార్యదర్శి దిన్షా బాబు, ఖేలో ఇండియా కోచ్ శ్రీనివాసరావు, ఆర్.ఎన్.ఆర్. నాగేశ్వరరావు, రామారావు తదితరులు పాల్గొన్నారు.

MLA Badeti Chanti Participates in International Olympic Day Celebrations
Flags Off Olympic Run, Felicitates Athletes
District Telugu Desam Party President and Eluru MLA Badeti Chanti stated that the coalition government is giving special priority to encouraging sportspersons in every possible way and improving sports standards across the state.
On the occasion of International Olympic Day, he attended a programme organized by the United West Godavari District Olympic Association at the local Indoor Stadium on Tuesday as the chief guest. During the event, he felicitated several athletes and congratulated them on their achievements.
Later, MLA Chanti flagged off the Olympic Run, which commenced from the Indoor Stadium. Carrying the Olympic torch, he participated in the run and inspired athletes with his enthusiasm and encouragement.
Speaking on the occasion, MLA Chanti said :
The government’s objective is to restore the former glory of sports and create a stronger sporting culture. He noted that employment opportunities have already been provided to 420 sportspersons in the state. He further stated that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is moving forward with a special action plan aimed at bringing the 2036 Olympic Games to India.
Among those who attended the programme were United District Olympic Association President Badeti Venkataramaiah, AP Weightlifting Association Secretary Dinsha Babu, Khelo India Coach Srinivasa Rao, R.N.R. Nageswara Rao, Rama Rao, and several other distinguished guests and sports personalities.
