నగరంలోని అత్యంత రద్దీ ప్రాంతమైన మెయిన్ బజార్లో ట్రాఫిక్ సమస్యల నివారణ, పాదచారుల భద్రత, శాంతిభద్రతల పరిరక్షణ లక్ష్యంగా ఏలూరు వన్టౌన్ పోలీసులు శుక్రవారం విస్తృత ఫుట్ పెట్రోలింగ్ నిర్వహించారు.
ఆక్రమణలపై ప్రత్యేక దృష్టి :

ఎస్ఐ రామకృష్ణ సిబ్బందితో కలిసి మెయిన్ బజార్లో కాలినడక గస్తీ చేపట్టారు. ఈ సందర్భంగా రోడ్డుపైకి విస్తరించి ట్రాఫిక్కు ఆటంకం కలిగిస్తున్న దుకాణాల ఆక్రమణలను గుర్తించి తొలగింపునకు చర్యలు చేపట్టారు.
వ్యాపారులకు స్పష్టమైన హెచ్చరిక :
దుకాణాల సామాగ్రి, ప్రకటన బోర్డులు రోడ్డుపై ఉంచడం వల్ల ట్రాఫిక్ సమస్యలు తలెత్తుతున్నాయని ఇన్స్పెక్టర్ పేర్కొన్నారు. వ్యాపారులు తమ దుకాణాల హద్దులలోనే వ్యాపార కార్యకలాపాలు నిర్వహించాలని సూచించారు. నిబంధనలు ఉల్లంఘించి రోడ్లను ఆక్రమిస్తే సామాగ్రి స్వాధీనం చేసుకోవడంతో పాటు జరిమానాలు విధిస్తామని హెచ్చరించారు.
పోలీసుల సూచనలకు స్పందన :
పోలీసుల ఆదేశాల మేరకు పలువురు వ్యాపారులు రోడ్డుపైకి విస్తరించిన తమ సామాగ్రిని వెంటనే తొలగించి దుకాణాల లోపలకు తరలించారు. దీంతో మెయిన్ బజార్లో ట్రాఫిక్ క్రమబద్ధీకరణకు ఊతమిచ్చినట్లు అధికారులు తెలిపారు.
ప్రజల నుంచి ప్రశంసలు :
రద్దీ ప్రాంతంలో సకాలంలో స్పందించి ట్రాఫిక్ను సుగమం చేయడంతో పాటు పాదచారులకు ఇబ్బందులు తొలగించిన వన్టౌన్ పోలీసుల చర్యలను ప్రజలు, వాహనదారులు అభినందించారు.
తనిఖీలు కొనసాగుతాయి :
ట్రాఫిక్కు అంతరాయం కలిగించే చర్యలను ఎట్టి పరిస్థితుల్లోనూ ఉపేక్షించబోమని, నగరంలో ఆకస్మిక తనిఖీలు, ఫుట్ పెట్రోలింగ్ కార్యక్రమాలు నిరంతరం కొనసాగుతాయని వన్టౌన్ పోలీసులు స్పష్టం చేశారు.

Special Drive by One Town Police for Smooth Traffic Flow
With the objective of easing traffic congestion, ensuring pedestrian safety, and maintaining law and order in the city’s busiest commercial area, the Eluru One Town Police conducted an extensive foot patrol in Main Bazaar on Friday.
Special Focus on Encroachments :
Acting on the instructions of District SP K. Pratap Shivakishore..and under the supervision of DSP D. Sravan Kumar, One Town Inspector K. Ramakrishna, along with SI Ramakrishna and police personnel, carried out a foot patrol in Main Bazaar.
During the inspection, the police identified and initiated action against encroachments by shops that had extended onto the roadway, causing traffic obstructions.
Clear Warning to Business Owners :
Inspector Ramakrishna stated that placing merchandise and advertisement boards on roads creates traffic problems and inconvenience to the public. He advised traders to conduct their business activities strictly within their shop premises.
He further warned that if road encroachments continue, the police will seize the materials placed on public roads and impose penalties on violators.
Positive Response from Traders :
Following the police instructions, several traders immediately removed goods and materials that had been placed on the road and shifted them back inside their shops. Officials said this action would help improve traffic regulation and movement in Main Bazaar.
Public Appreciation :
Residents and motorists appreciated the timely intervention by the One Town Police, noting that their efforts helped ease traffic congestion and improved convenience and safety for pedestrians in the busy market area.
Inspections to Continue :
The One Town Police made it clear that they will not tolerate any activities that obstruct traffic. They also stated that surprise inspections and foot patrols will continue regularly across the city to ensure smooth traffic flow and public safety.
