చేబ్రోలు పంచాయతీ శివారులోని జగనన్న హౌసింగ్ కాలనీలో చేపట్టిన కొత్త మంచినీటి బోరు డ్రిల్లింగ్ పనులను ఉంగుటూరు ఎంపీడీవో జి.ఆర్. మనోజ్ మంగళవారం పరిశీలించారు. కాలనీలోని ఏకైక బోరు నుంచి వస్తున్న నీరు 200కుపైగా ఇళ్లకు సరిపోక నివాసితులు తీవ్ర ఇబ్బందులు ఎదుర్కొంటున్న నేపథ్యంలో, స్థానిక ప్రజాప్రతినిధులు సమస్యను ఎమ్మెల్యే పత్సమట్ల ధర్మరాజు దృష్టికి తీసుకెళ్లారు.
ఎమ్మెల్యే ఆదేశాల మేరకు మండల పరిషత్ నిధుల నుంచి సుమారు రూ.4.50 లక్షల వ్యయంతో కొత్త బోరు ఏర్పాటు పనులు ప్రారంభించారు. పనుల పురోగతిని ఎంపీడీవో ఆర్డబ్ల్యూఎస్ అధికారులతో కలిసి పరిశీలించి, నాణ్యతా ప్రమాణాలు పాటిస్తూ త్వరితగతిన పూర్తి చేయాలని సూచించారు. బోరు అందుబాటులోకి వస్తే కాలనీలో నెలకొన్న మంచినీటి సమస్యకు శాశ్వత పరిష్కారం లభిస్తుందని అధికారులు తెలిపారు.

Unguturu MPDO G.R. Manoj on Tuesday inspected the drilling works of a new drinking water borewell being undertaken in the Jagananna Housing Colony located on the outskirts of Chebrolu Gram Panchayat.
The colony’s only existing borewell has been unable to meet the drinking water needs of more than 200 households, causing severe hardship to residents. In response, local public representatives brought the issue to the attention of MLA Patsamatla Dharma Raju.
Following the MLA’s directions, the new borewell project was initiated with an estimated cost of ₹4.50 lakh from Mandal Parishad funds. During the inspection, the MPDO, accompanied by officials from the Rural Water Supply (RWS) Department, reviewed the progress of the works and instructed the officials to ensure quality standards are maintained and to complete the project at the earliest.
Officials stated that once the new borewell becomes operational, it will provide a permanent solution to the drinking water shortage in the housing colony.
