150వ జయంతి సందర్భంగా జంగారెడ్డిగూడెంలో 2 కి.మీ. భారీ త్రివర్ణ పతాక ర్యాలీ
భారత జాతీయ జెండా రూపకర్త పింగళి వెంకయ్య తెలుగువాడు కావడం ప్రతి ఒక్కరికీ గర్వకారణమని ఏలూరు ఎంపీ పుట్టా మహేష్ కుమార్ అన్నారు. పింగళి వెంకయ్య 150వ జయంతి సందర్భంగా సోమవారం జంగారెడ్డిగూడెంలో నిర్వహించిన రెండు కిలోమీటర్ల భారీ జాతీయ పతాక ర్యాలీలో ఆయన పాల్గొన్నారు.
అనంతరం జరిగిన సభలో ఎంపీ పుట్టా మాట్లాడుతూ :
స్వాతంత్ర్య సమరంలో మహాత్మా గాంధీతో కలిసి పోరాడిన పింగళి వెంకయ్య దేశానికి త్రివర్ణ పతాకాన్ని అందించిన మహనీయుడని కొనియాడారు. కార్యక్రమంలో కూటమి నాయకులు, టీడీపీ, జనసేన, బీజేపీ నాయకులు పాల్గొన్నారు. అనంతరం ఎంపీ పాఠశాల విద్యార్థులతో కలిసి ఫొటోలు దిగుతూ వారితో ఆత్మీయంగా ముచ్చటించారు.
Eluru MP Joins 2-km Tricolour Rally on Pingali Venkayya’s 150th Birth Anniversary
Eluru MP Putta Mahesh Kumar on Monday participated in a 2-km Tricolour Rally organised at Jangareddygudem to mark the 150th birth anniversary of Pingali Venkayya, the designer of India’s National Flag.
Addressing the gathering, the MP said Pingali Venkayya’s contribution to the nation remains a source of pride, particularly for Telugu people. He described Venkayya as a freedom fighter who worked alongside Mahatma Gandhi and made a lasting contribution by designing the Indian Tricolour.
Mahesh Kumar said the commemoration was intended to honour Venkayya’s legacy and encourage younger generations to uphold the values represented by the National Flag.
Leaders and workers of the TDP, Jana Sena Party and BJP, along with other coalition representatives, participated in the programme. The MP later interacted with school students and joined them for photographs.
