తాడేపల్లిగూడెం మున్సిపల్ కమిషనర్ M. యేసుబాబు ఆధ్వర్యంలో నేడు ప్రపంచ పర్యావరణ దినోత్సవం సందర్భంగా.. 1వ వార్డు ఇండోర్ స్టేడియం ఆవరణలో “ఆపరేషన్ క్లీన్ స్వీప్” కార్యక్రమంతో పాటు మొక్కలు నాటే కార్యక్రమాన్ని నిర్వహించారు.
ఈ సందర్భంగా కమిషనర్ సిబ్బందితో కలిసి స్టేడియం పరిసరాలను శుభ్రపరిచి, చెత్తను తొలగించారు. అనంతరం పర్యావరణ పరిరక్షణలో భాగంగా స్టేడియం ఆవరణలో వేప, రావి, కానుగ లాంటి నీడనిచ్చే, ఆక్సిజన్ అందించే మొక్కలను నాటారు. ప్లాస్టిక్ వాడకాన్ని తగ్గించి, పరిసరాలను పచ్చదనంతో నింపితేనే భవిష్యత్ తరాలకు మంచి వాతావరణం అందించగలమని కమిషనర్ సూచించారు.
ఈ సందర్భంగా కమిషనర్ యేసుబాబు మాట్లాడుతూ :
“నేడు ప్రపంచ పర్యావరణ దినోత్సవం. ఈరోజు నుండి ప్రతి ఒక్కరూ కనీసం ఒక మొక్క నాటి దాన్ని సంరక్షించాలని, ఆపరేషన్ క్లీన్ స్వీప్ కార్యక్రమాన్ని ప్రతిరోజూ నిర్వహిస్తున్నామని, పరిశుభ్రతతో పాటు పచ్చదనం కూడా పెంచాలని, 1వ వార్డులో ఉన్న ఇండోర్ స్టేడియాన్ని మోడల్గా తీర్చిదిద్దుతామని తెలిపారు.
అనంతరం విజయవాడలోని SPAలో ఎలక్ట్రిక్ మొబిలిటీ & సస్టైనబుల్ అర్బన్ డెవలప్మెంట్ వర్క్షాప్ కు హాజరైన కమిషనర్ :

విజయవాడలోని స్కూల్ ఆఫ్ ప్లానింగ్ అండ్ ఆర్కిటెక్చర్ (SPA) లో “ఎలక్ట్రిక్ మొబిలిటీ మరియు సస్టైనబుల్ అర్బన్ డెవలప్మెంట్” అనే అంశంపై వర్క్షాప్ నిర్వహించారు. ఈ వర్క్షాప్కు తాడేపల్లిగూడెం మున్సిపల్ కమిషనర్ యేసుబాబు హాజరయ్యారు.
అదే వేదికపై ప్రపంచ పర్యావరణ దినోత్సవాన్ని పురస్కరించుకుని CDMA డైరెక్టర్ తో కలిసి కమిషనర్ యేసుబాబు మొక్కలు నాటే కార్యక్రమంలో పాల్గొన్నారు. SPA క్యాంపస్ ఆవరణలో పలువురు ఉన్నతాధికారులు, నిపుణులతో కలిసి మొక్కలు నాటి, నీరు పోశారు. భవిష్యత్ నగరాల్లో ఎలక్ట్రిక్ వాహనాల వినియోగం, గ్రీన్ ఎనర్జీ, పట్టణ సుస్థిర అభివృద్ధికి పచ్చదనం పెంపు చాలా అవసరమని ఈ సందర్భంగా చర్చించారు.
ఈ సందర్భంగా కమిషనర్ M. యేసుబాబు మాట్లాడుతూ :
“ప్రపంచ పర్యావరణ దినోత్సవం రోజున SPA లాంటి ప్రతిష్టాత్మక సంస్థలో ఎలక్ట్రిక్ మొబిలిటీ వర్క్షాప్లో పాల్గొనడం సంతోషంగా ఉంది. CDMA డైరెక్టర్ తో కలిసి మొక్కలు నాటడం ఆనందదాయకమని, సుస్థిర అభివృద్ధికి పరిశుభ్రత, పచ్చదనం, ఎలక్ట్రిక్ వాహనాలు మూడు కీలకమని, తాడేపల్లిగూడెంలో కూడా ఈ విధానాలు అమలు చేస్తామని కమిషనర్ తెలిపారు.
World Environment Day
“Operation Clean Sweep” & Plantation Drive Conducted Under the Leadership of the Municipal Commissioner
On the occasion of World Environment Day, a special “Operation Clean Sweep” programme along with a tree plantation drive was organized today at the Indoor Stadium premises in Ward No. 1 under the leadership of Tadepalligudem Municipal Commissioner M. Yesubabu.
As part of the programme, the Commissioner, along with municipal staff, cleaned the stadium surroundings and removed accumulated waste. Subsequently, saplings of shade-giving and oxygen-producing trees such as Neem, Peepal, and Kanuga were planted within the stadium premises as part of environmental conservation efforts.
The Commissioner emphasized that reducing plastic usage and increasing green cover are essential to providing a healthier environment for future generations.
Commissioner M. Yesubabu said :
“Today is World Environment Day. From this day forward, every individual should plant at least one sapling and take responsibility for its protection. We are implementing the ‘Operation Clean Sweep’ programme on a daily basis and aim to promote both cleanliness and greenery. The Indoor Stadium in Ward No. 1 will be developed as a model facility,” he said.
Commissioner Attends Workshop on Electric Mobility & Sustainable Urban Development at SPA, Vijayawada :
Later, Commissioner M. Yesubabu attended a workshop on “Electric Mobility and Sustainable Urban Development” held at the School of Planning and Architecture (SPA), Vijayawada.
On the same occasion, as part of World Environment Day celebrations, the Commissioner participated in a tree plantation programme along with the Director of CDMA (Commissioner & Director of Municipal Administration).
The officials planted saplings and watered them within the SPA campus, joined by senior government officials and experts. Discussions focused on the importance of electric vehicle adoption, green energy, and expanding urban green cover for achieving sustainable urban development.
Commissioner M. Yesubabu said :
“It is a privilege to participate in an Electric Mobility workshop at a prestigious institution like SPA on World Environment Day. Planting saplings alongside the Director of CDMA was a meaningful experience. Cleanliness, greenery, and electric mobility are three key pillars of sustainable development, and we are committed to implementing these principles in Tadepalligudem as well,” the Commissioner stated.
