తాడేపల్లిగూడెం మున్సిపల్ కమిషనర్ యేసుబాబు ఆధ్వర్యంలో “ఆపరేషన్ క్లీన్ స్వీప్” కార్యక్రమంలో భాగంగా ఈరోజు జట్లపాలెం రోడ్డులో మురుగు కాలువల శుభ్రత పనులు చేపట్టారు. కమిషనర్ స్వయంగా క్షేత్రస్థాయిలో పాల్గొని పార చేతపట్టి కాలువల పక్కన ఉన్న చెత్త, గడ్డిని తొలగించారు. జట్లపాలెం రోడ్డులోని ప్రధాన మురుగు కాలువల్లో పేరుకుపోయిన పూడిక, ప్లాస్టిక్ వ్యర్థాలను JCB సహాయంతో పూర్తిగా తొలగించి, నీరు సాఫీగా వెళ్లేలా చర్యలు చేపట్టారు. కాలువలు శుభ్రం చేసిన అనంతరం దోమల నివారణకు బ్లీచింగ్ పౌడర్ చల్లి, మలాథియాన్ స్ప్రే చేయించారు. మురుగు కాలువల్లో చెత్త వేయడం వల్ల నీరు నిలిచిపోయి దోమలు, రోగాలు వస్తాయని, పరిసరాలను పరిశుభ్రంగా ఉంచుకోవాలని కమిషనర్ సిబ్బందికి, స్థానిక ప్రజలకు సూచించారు.
ఈ సందర్భంగా కమిషనర్ యేసుబాబు మాట్లాడుతూ :
ఆపరేషన్ క్లీన్ స్వీప్ కార్యక్రమాన్ని పట్టణంలోని ప్రతీ ప్రాంతంలో నిర్వహిస్తున్నామని, వర్షాకాలం దృష్ట్యా జట్లపాలెం రోడ్డులో నేడు డ్రైనేజీ సమస్య పరిష్కరించామని, అధికారులు.. సిబ్బంది అందరూ కలిసి శ్రమిస్తేనే పట్టణం పరిశుభ్రంగా ఉంటుందని తెలిపారు.
ఈ కార్యక్రమంలో మున్సిపల్ సిబ్బంది,శానిటేషన్ ఇన్స్పెక్టర్ లు, పారిశుధ్య కార్మికులు, వార్డు సచివాలయ సిబ్బంది పాల్గొన్నారు.
Drainage Canal Cleaning Works on Jatlapalem Road
“Operation Clean Sweep” Conducted Under the Supervision of the Municipal Commissioner
As part of the “Operation Clean Sweep” initiative, drainage canal cleaning works were undertaken today on Jatlapalem Road under the supervision of Tadepalligudem Municipal Commissioner Yesubabu.
The Commissioner personally participated in the field-level activity, taking part in the cleaning operation by removing garbage and overgrown vegetation along the drainage canals. Silt deposits and plastic waste accumulated in the main drainage channels on Jatlapalem Road were completely cleared with the assistance of JCB machinery, ensuring the smooth flow of wastewater.
Following the cleaning operations, bleaching powder was spread and Malathion spray was applied to prevent mosquito breeding. The Commissioner advised municipal staff and local residents that indiscriminate dumping of waste into drainage canals leads to water stagnation, resulting in mosquito infestation and the spread of diseases. He urged everyone to maintain cleanliness in their surroundings.
Speaking on the occasion, Commissioner Yesubabu said :
The “Operation Clean Sweep” programme is being implemented across all areas of the town. Keeping the monsoon season in view, the drainage issues on Jatlapalem Road have been addressed today. He stated that maintaining a clean and hygienic town is possible only through the collective efforts of officials, municipal staff, and the public.
The programme was attended by municipal staff, sanitation inspectors, sanitation workers, and ward secretariat personnel.
