ఏలూరు జిల్లా పోలవరం నియోజకవర్గం వేలేరుపాడులో మంగళవారం తెల్లవారుజామున జరిగిన అగ్నిప్రమాదంలో ఇద్దరు మహిళలు మృతి చెందడం పట్ల ఎంపీ పుట్టా మహేష్ కుమార్ తీవ్ర దిగ్భ్రాంతి వ్యక్తం చేశారు. కెపూరిల్లు దగ్దం అయిన ఘటనలో వలగాని సావిత్రి, సిగ పూలమ్మ అనే ఇద్దరు మహిళలు సజీవదహనమై మృతి చెందడం బాధాకరమన్నారు. మృతుల కుటుంబ సభ్యులకు తన ప్రగాఢ సానుభూతిని తెలియజేస్తూ, వారి ఆత్మలకు శాంతి చేకూరాలని భగవంతుడిని ప్రార్ధిస్తున్నట్లు ఎంపీ పుట్టా మహేష్ కుమార్ విడుదల చేసిన ప్రకటనలో వెల్లడించారు. అగ్నిప్రమాదంలో వలగాని సావిత్రి ఇల్లుతో పాటు పక్కనే ఉన్న మరో ఇల్లు పూర్తిగా దగ్ధమవడం దురదృష్టకరమన్నారు. బాధిత కుటుంబాలకు ప్రభుత్వం తరఫున తక్షణ సహాయం అందించేందుకు అధికారులు చర్యలు తీసుకోవాలని ఎంపీ కోరారు.
ఈ ఘటనకు సంబంధించిన పూర్తి వివరాలను అధికారుల ద్వారా తెలుసుకునే ప్రయత్నం చేసిన ఎంపీ, ప్రమాద స్థలానికి వెళ్లిన కుక్కునూరు సీఐ రమేష్ తో ఫోన్ లో మాట్లాడారు. అగ్నిప్రమాద ఘటనపై అనుమానాలు వ్యక్తం చేస్తూ కొంతమంది స్థానికులు తనకు ఫోన్ చేసిన విషయాన్ని పోలీసుల దృష్టికి తీసుకెళ్లిన ఎంపీ ప్రమాద కారణాలపై సమగ్ర దర్యాప్తు చేయాలని ఆదేశించారు. ఇప్పటికే క్లూస్ టీమ్ ను రప్పిస్తున్నట్లు, ఏదైనా కుట్ర కోణం ఉన్నట్లు తేలితే కఠిన చర్యలు తీసుకుంటామని పోలీసులు ఎంపీకి వివరించారు.

Eluru MP Putta Mahesh Kumar expressed deep shock over the death of two women in a fire accident that occurred in Velerupadu of Polavaram constituency, Eluru district, in the early hours of Tuesday. He stated that it was extremely tragic that Valagani Savitri and Siga Poolamma lost their lives after being burnt alive when their hut was engulfed in flames.
In a statement released by the MP, he conveyed his profound condolences to the bereaved families and prayed for the peace of the departed souls. He also described it as unfortunate that, besides Savitri’s house, another neighboring house was completely destroyed in the fire.
The MP urged government officials to ensure immediate assistance is provided to the affected families.
Seeking complete details of the incident from officials, the MP spoke over the phone with Kukunoor Circle Inspector (CI) Ramesh, who had visited the accident site. He informed the police that several local residents had contacted him and expressed suspicions regarding the circumstances of the fire. The MP instructed the police to carry out a comprehensive investigation into the cause of the incident.
Police informed the MP that a Clues Team was already being brought in for investigation and assured him that strict action would be taken if any conspiracy or foul play was found to be involved.
