గుటాల గ్రామంలో దేవాలయాలు, ప్రధాన కూడళ్లు, రహదారులు, విగ్రహాల వద్ద, గ్రామ ప్రవేశ–నిష్క్రమణ మార్గాల్లో నాణ్యమైన సీసీ కెమెరాలు ఏర్పాటు చేయాలని, చోరీలు, హౌస్ బ్రేకింగ్ , రోడ్డు ప్రమాదాల దర్యాప్తు, మిస్సింగ్ కేసులు, అనుమానాస్పద వ్యక్తులు, వాహనాల కదలికలను గుర్తించడంలో కెమెరాలు కీలక ఆధారాలుగా ఉపయోగపడతాయని వివరించారు. ప్రధాన మార్గాల్లో 360 డిగ్రీ కెమెరాలతో వాహనాల కదలికలను పర్యవేక్షించవచ్చన్నారు.
సైబర్ మోసానికి గురైన వెంటనే 1930కు ఫిర్యాదు చేయాలని, నగదు బదిలీ మోసం జరిగినప్పుడు సత్వర ఫిర్యాదుతో నగదును నిలుపుదల చేసే అవకాశం ఉంటుందని తెలిపారు. మొబైల్ పోయినా, చోరీకి గురైనా CEIR పోర్టల్ ద్వారా బ్లాక్ చేయవచ్చని అవగాహన కల్పించారు. గ్రామ భద్రత కోసం ప్రజలు పోలీసులకు సహకరించాలని కోరారు.
CCTV Cameras to Help Curb Crime in Gutala Village
The Polavaram police have called upon residents of Gutala village to install quality closed-circuit television (CCTV) cameras at key locations to strengthen surveillance and prevent crime.
The initiative was undertaken following the directions of Eluru District Superintendent of Police K. Pratap Shiv Kishore and under the guidance of Polavaram Deputy Superintendent of Police K. Jayakrishna.
Speaking to residents, Polavaram Circle Inspector B. Krishnakumar and Sub-Inspector P. Apparao said CCTV cameras should be installed at temples, major junctions, roads and entry and exit points of the village.
They said CCTV footage would serve as crucial evidence in investigating thefts, house-breaking incidents and road accidents, besides helping police trace missing persons and identify suspicious individuals and vehicles. Installation of 360-degree cameras along major roads would enable effective monitoring of vehicular movement, they added.
The police officials also sensitised villagers about the growing threat of cybercrime and urged them to exercise caution while carrying out online financial transactions. They advised victims of cyber fraud to immediately contact the national cybercrime helpline 1930, stating that prompt reporting could help authorities place a hold on fraudulent transactions and improve the chances of recovering the money.
The officials further explained that lost or stolen mobile phones could be blocked through the Central Equipment Identity Register (CEIR) portal, helping prevent their misuse.
The police appealed to residents to remain vigilant and extend their cooperation to the police in strengthening security and preventing crime in the village.
