తాడేపల్లిగూడెం పురపాలక సంఘం పరిధిలోని వీకర్స్ కాలనీ అర్బన్ హెల్త్ సెంటర్లో ఆదివారం పల్స్ పోలియో కార్యక్రమాన్ని శాసనసభ్యులు, ప్రభుత్వ విప్ బొలిశెట్టి శ్రీనివాస్, మున్సిపల్ కమిషనర్ యేసుబాబు చిన్నారులకు పోలియో చుక్కలు వేసి ప్రారంభించారు.
ఈ సందర్భంగా ఎమ్మెల్యే బొలిశెట్టి శ్రీనివాస్ మాట్లాడుతూ :
ప్రతి ఐదేళ్లలోపు చిన్నారికి తప్పనిసరిగా పోలియో చుక్కలు వేయించాలని, తాడేపల్లిగూడెంలో వంద శాతం లక్ష్యాన్ని సాధించాలని పిలుపునిచ్చారు.
ఈ సందర్భంగా మున్సిపల్ కమిషనర్ యేసుబాబు మాట్లాడుతూ :
మూడు రోజుల పాటు ఇంటింటి సర్వే నిర్వహించి మిగిలిన చిన్నారులకు పోలియో చుక్కలు వేస్తామని, అర్బన్ హెల్త్ సెంటర్లు, అంగన్వాడీలు, సచివాలయాల పరిధిలో ప్రత్యేక బూత్లు ఏర్పాటు చేసినట్లు తెలిపారు. కార్యక్రమంలో వైద్యాధికారులు, ఏఎన్ఎంలు, ఆశా వర్కర్లు, మున్సిపల్ అధికారులు, ప్రజాప్రతినిధులు పాల్గొన్నారు. పెద్ద సంఖ్యలో తల్లిదండ్రులు చిన్నారులతో హాజరై పోలియో చుక్కలు వేయించారు.
Pulse Polio Drive Launched with Enthusiasm
MLA and Government Whip Bolisetti Srinivas, along with Municipal Commissioner Yesubabu, administer polio drops to children
The Pulse Polio Immunization Programme was formally launched on Sunday at the Vickers Colony Urban Health Centre under the jurisdiction of the Tadepalligudem Municipality. The programme was inaugurated by MLA and Government Whip Bolisetti Srinivas and Municipal Commissioner Yesubabu, who administered polio drops to children.
Speaking on the occasion, MLA Bolisetti Srinivas said :
Every child below the age of five must be administered polio drops without fail. He urged parents and officials to ensure 100 percent coverage of eligible children in Tadepalligudem.
Municipal Commissioner Yesubabu said :
A three-day door-to-door survey will be conducted to identify children who are yet to receive the vaccine, and polio drops will be administered to them. He added that special Pulse Polio booths have been set up at Urban Health Centres, Anganwadi Centres, and Secretariat offices across the municipality.
Medical officers, ANMs, ASHA workers, municipal officials, and public representatives participated in the programme. A large number of parents brought their children to the centres to receive the life-saving polio vaccine.
