స్వచ్ఛతకు సత్కారం.. రావులపాలెంకు పురస్కారం

పారిశుధ్య నిర్వహణలో ఉత్తమ పనితీరు కనబరిచినందుకు డాక్టర్‌ బీఆర్‌ అంబేద్కర్‌ కోనసీమ జిల్లా రావులపాలెం గ్రామపంచాయతీకి స్వచ్ఛాంధ్ర–స్వర్ణాంధ్ర అవార్డు లభించింది. గాంధీ జయంతి సందర్భంగా శుక్రవారం విజయవాడలో నిర్వహించిన అవార్డుల ప్రదానోత్సవంలో ముఖ్యమంత్రి చంద్రబాబు నాయుడు చేతుల మీదుగా పంచాయతీ కార్యదర్శి ఎల్‌. దుర్గాప్రసాద్ అవార్డును అందుకున్నారు.
ఇంటింటి చెత్త సేకరణ, తడి–పొడి చెత్త వేర్పాటు, చెత్త నుంచి సంపద తయారీ కేంద్రం నిర్వహణతోపాటు పారిశుధ్యంపై ప్రజలకు అవగాహన కల్పించేందుకు సదస్సులు, ర్యాలీలు నిర్వహించడం వంటి అంశాలను పరిగణనలోకి తీసుకుని రావులపాలెం పంచాయతీని అవార్డుకు ఎంపిక చేశారు. రాష్ట్రవ్యాప్తంగా ఎంపికైన 12 గ్రామపంచాయతీల్లో రావులపాలెం చోటు దక్కించుకుంది.
కార్యక్రమంలో జిల్లా పంచాయతీ అధికారిణి డి. శాంతలక్ష్మి కూడా పాల్గొన్నారు.
Ravulapalem panchayat bags Swachhandhra–Swarna Andhra award
Ravulapalem Gram Panchayat in Dr B.R. Ambedkar Konaseema district has received the Swachhandhra–Swarna Andhra Award for its exemplary performance in sanitation and solid waste management.
The award was presented by Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu to Ravulapalem Panchayat Secretary L. Durgaprasad at a ceremony held in Vijayawada on Friday to mark Gandhi Jayanti.
The panchayat was selected for the award in recognition of its initiatives including door-to-door collection of household waste, segregation of wet and dry waste, effective management of the waste-to-wealth centre and public awareness programmes on sanitation. Awareness campaigns, seminars and rallies were also conducted to encourage community participation in maintaining cleanliness.
Ravulapalem was among 12 gram panchayats selected across Andhra Pradesh for the award.
District Panchayat Officer D. Shant Lakshmi also attended the award presentation ceremony.
