ఉపాధిహామీ సిబ్బందిని హెచ్చరించిన ప్రోజెక్ట్ డైరెక్టర్ శ్రీనివాస విశ్వనాధ్
గ్రామీణ సేవకుల సంక్షేమం కోసం ప్రతిష్టాత్మకంగా చేపడుతున్న ఉపాధిహామీ పథం జిల్లాలో సక్రమంగా నిర్వహించాలని, సిబ్బంది అలసత్వం వలన శ్రామికులు నష్టపోయిన, ఉపాధి పనులు కల్పించకపోయినా కఠిన చర్యలు తప్పవని సిబ్బందిని జిల్లా ప్రోజెక్ట్ డైరెక్టర్ తూతిక శ్రీనివాస విశ్వనాధ్ హెచ్చరించారు. జిల్లా కలెక్టర్ దినేష్ కుమార్ ఆదేశాలు మేరకు ఏజెన్సీ ప్రాంతంలో పని కావాలని అడిగిన ప్రతి గిరిజనులకు ఉపాధిహామీ పని కల్పించాలని అలాగే లక్ష్యం మేరకు జిల్లాలో రోజుకు, 90 వేల పనిదినాలు పనికల్పించి ఉపాధిహామీ పథకం అమలుకు సిబ్బంది కృషి చేయాలని అన్నారు. శనివారం స్థానికంగా ఉన్న ఎం.జీ.ఎన్.ఆర్.ఈ.జీ.ఎస్ కార్యాలయంలో సిబ్బందితో సమీక్షా సమావేశం నిర్వహించిన పీడీ శ్రీనివాస విశ్వనాధ్ పథకం విజయవంతంగా అమలు కోసం పలు సూచనలు చేసారు.
ఈ సందర్బంగా పిడి శ్రీనివాస విశ్వనాధ్ మాట్లాడుతూ :
క్షేత్రస్థాయి సహాయకులు గ్రామస్థాయి ప్రణాళికలు సిద్ధం చేసుకొని ముందురోజే గిరిజన శ్రామికులకు పనులకు రమ్మని సమాచారం ఇవ్వాలన్నారు. జిల్లాలో కలెక్టర్ దినేష్ కుమార్ సుమారు 3 వేల పనులు మంజూరు చేసారని, వాటి విలువ 160 కోట్లని, ప్రతి గిరిజనుడకు సంవత్సరానికి 125 రోజులు పనికల్పించడని జిల్లా నీటి యాజమాన్య సంస్థ ద్వారా ప్రణాళికలు రూపొందించమని అన్నారు. ఉపాధిహామీ పనులలో జలధార పనులు అమలుకు ప్రాధాన్యత కల్పిస్తూ గిరిజన ప్రాంతంలో భూగర్భ జలాలు పెరగడానికి సాగునీటి సంఘాల సహకారంతో కార్యాచరణ సిద్ధం చేసామన్నారు. క్షేత్రస్థాయి పర్యటనలో భాగంగా పాలకలువు చెరువు పనులు పీడీ తనిఖీ చేసారు.
కార్యక్రమంలో ఎంపీడీఓ సల్మాన్ రాజు, ఏపీఓ వీది లక్ష్మీ నారాయణ, టిఏ మూడే కామేశ్వరావు, ఎఫ్ఏ బాలరాజు తదితరులు పాల్గొన్నారు.

Project Director Warns Employees Over Lapses
Polavaram District Project Director T. Srinivas Viswanath has issued a stern warning to MGNREGS staff, stating that dereliction of duty will invite strict action. Addressing a review meeting at the local MGNREGS office on Saturday, he emphasized the need for seamless implementation of the flagship rural employment scheme to ensure welfare of rural workers, particularly in agency areas.
Following District Collector Dinesh Kumar’s directives, PD Viswanath instructed officials to provide work to every tribal applicant in agency tracts and achieve a daily target of 90,000 person-days across the district. “Collector Dinesh Kumar has approved around 3,000 works worth ₹160 crore, aiming for 125 workdays per tribal worker annually,” he said. Field assistants must prepare village-level plans and inform workers a day in advance.
Prioritizing water conservation, the district is collaborating with water user associations to boost groundwater levels through MGNREGS works. Viswanath inspected ongoing Palakaluva cheruvu renovation during a field visit.
