విజయవాడ రైల్వే పోలీసులు సదరు రైల్వే ఉద్యోగి పై ఎఫ్ఐఆర్ నమోదు.
ఈనెల 8వ తారీఖున పశ్చిమగోదావరి జిల్లా నరసాపురం నుండి నెల్లూరుకు ట్రైన్లో బయలుదేరిన జిల్లాకు చెందిన ఓ యువతి(20) స్టూడెంట్.
ట్రైన్ బయలుదేరిన కాసేపటికి TTE అభిజిత్ రైల్వే ఉద్యోగి యువతి ప్రక్కన కూర్చుని అసభ్యంగా ప్రవర్తించిన వైనం..(ఆ సమయంలో ఎవరూ ఆ ప్రదేశంలో లేకపోవడం గమనార్హం.)
సదరు రైల్వే టి టి.. ఆ యువతితో మాట్లాడుతూ.. ఏసీ కంపార్ట్మెంట్ కు మారుస్తానని చెప్పి.. మరలా యువతితో అసభ్యంగా ప్రవర్తిస్తూ, తనతో పడుకోమని లైంగికంగా వేధించి.. ప్రైవేట్ పార్ట్స్ టచ్ చేయడంతో..
ఆ యువతి ప్రయాణికులు ఉన్న మరొక కంపార్ట్మెంట్ లోకి వెళ్లి జరిగిన విషయం తోటి ప్రయాణికులు ఇద్దరితో చెప్పగా..
వారి సహాయంతో విజయవాడ రైల్వే పోలీసులకు జరిగిన విషయం చెప్పి కంప్లైంట్ ఇవ్వగా.. రైల్వే ఉద్యోగి అభిజిత్ కుమార్ పై 38/2025 – 74/75(2) BNS కేసు నమోదు చేసిన రైల్వే పోలీసులు.
ఇటీవల ఏపీ ముఖ్యమంత్రి చంద్రబాబు నాయుడు, ఆడబిడ్డల జోలికి ఎవరైనా వచ్చినా.. లైంగిక వేధింపులకు గురిచేసినా.. అదే అతనికి ఆఖరి రోజు అని పేర్కొన్నారు..

In a shocking incident that has sparked outrage across the state of Andhra Pradesh, a Railway Ticket Examiner (TTE) has been accused of sexually harassing a 20-year-old student during a train journey. The accused, identified as Abhijit Kumar (27) resident of chautarwa parasnagar,west champaran district of Bihar,who allegedly misused his position while on duty under the South Central Railway zone, an institution under the control of the central government.
According to report, the incident took place on 8th of October, when An young woman boarded a train from Narasapuram in West Godavari to Nellore district.According to the citing sources. Shortly after the train departure, the TTE had seated himself beside the victim and engaged in inappropriate behavior ,while no other passengers were present nearby during his Act. Under the pretext of offering her a berth in the air-conditioned compartment, Abhijit allegedly behaved with foul intentions by touching the victim inappropriately, demanding sexual favors in exchange for confirming her an seat.
Being Terrified, the Victim an student managed to leave the compartment and shouted for help from the co-passengers, who immediately helped her. In fileing a complaint against the incident she came up with. At the Vijayawada Govt Railway Police station. Following her statement, the GRP police registered a case under FIR No. 38/2025, invoking Sections 74 and 75(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
Railway authorities have confirmed that an internal inquiry has been initiated, the accused TTE Is reportedly to have been suspended.As the investigation filed against the TTE is on persuance.
This incident had led to public concern over travelling women passenger’s safety in trains, particularly. within the South Central Railway division, despite national awareness campaigns and stricter legal frameworks such as the Nirbhaya and Disha Acts.
Public outrage has grown louder on social media, with citizens demanding vigorous punishment for the accused. On such Acts of humiliation The Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu recently stated that any form of sexual harassment against women would invite the severe punishment, emphasizing “those who harm women will see their last day”.
As the investigation progresses,the public attention is currently now on railway authorities and law enforcement to ensure swift and exemplary action against the culprit, reinforcing that such misuse of official authority against women will no more be tolerated.
