డ్రగ్స్ రహిత సమాజమే ధ్యేయంగా.. ఈరోజు ప్రత్తిపాడు, ఏలేశ్వరం, శంఖవరం మరియు రౌతులపూడి మొత్తం 4 మండలాలలోని గంజాయి సేవించే అనుమానితులను సెక్యూర్ చేసి వారికి రాపిడ్ డ్రగ్ స్క్రీనింగ్ టెస్ట్ కిట్ ద్వారా టెస్ట్ లు నిర్వహించడం జరిగింది. ఈ సందర్భంగా ఐదు మండలాలకు చెందిన 21 మందిని చెక్ చేయగా ఒకరికి పాజిటివ్ వచ్చింది.
ఈ సందర్భంగా ప్రత్తిపాడు సిఐ సూర్య అప్పారావు మాట్లాడుతూ :
ఈ చెకింగ్ ల ప్రక్రియ నిరంతరం కొనసాగుతుందని, పాజిటివ్ వచ్చిన వారిని వాళ్ళ పేరెంట్స్ సహాయంతో కౌన్సిలింగ్ చేసి వారిని డి అడిక్షన్ సెంటర్ ద్వారా వారిలో మార్పు తీసుకురావడానికి ప్రయత్నం చేస్తామని తెలిపారు.
ఈ కార్యక్రమంలో బి సూర్య అప్పారావు(సర్కిల్ ఇన్ స్పెక్టర్), యస్.లక్ష్మి కాంతం (ప్రత్తిపాడు ఎస్ఐ) , రామలింగేశ్వరరావు (ఏలేశ్వరం ఎస్ఐ), శ్రీహరిబాబు (అన్నవరం ఎస్ఐ) మరియు వెంకటేశ్వరరావు మరియు సిబ్బంది పాల్గొన్నారు.

Acting on the instructions of Kakinada District Superintendent of Police (SP) Bindu Madhav, a special drug screening drive was conducted today under the supervision of Peddapuram Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) A.B.G. Tilak and the leadership of Prathipadu Circle Inspector (CI) Surya Apparao.
With the objective of promoting a drug-free society, police personnel identified and secured individuals suspected of consuming ganja from four mandals—Prathipadu, Yeleswaram, Sankhavaram, and Rowthulapudi. The suspects were subjected to screening using Rapid Drug Screening Test Kits.
A total of 21 individuals from these mandals were tested, of whom one person tested positive.
Speaking on the occasion, CI
Surya Apparao said :*
The police will continue conducting such screening drives on a regular basis. Individuals who test positive will be provided counseling with the support of their parents, and efforts will be made to help them overcome addiction through de-addiction and rehabilitation programs.
