రోడ్డు ప్రమాదాలను నివారించేందుకు ప్రత్తిపాడు సర్కిల్లో స్పెషల్ డ్రైవ్ను జరిపిన పోలీసులు, ఏలేశ్వరం, అన్నవరం, రౌతులపూడి పోలీస్ స్టేషన్ల పరిధిలో 1 ఏప్రిల్ నుంచి 10 ఏప్రిల్ 2026 వరకు ‘డ్రంక్ అండ్ డ్రైవ్’ పరీక్షలు నిర్వహించారు. ఎస్పీ బిందు మాధవ్ ఉత్తర్వుల ప్రకారం, 29 మంది తాగి వాహనాలు నడిపిన వాహనదారులపై కేసులు నమోదయ్యాయి.
ప్రత్తిపాడు జ్యుడీషియల్ సెకండ్ క్లాస్ మేజిస్ట్రేట్ శారదామని నలుగురికి ఒక్కొక్కరికి 3 రోజుల జైలు శిక్ష, 9 మందికి రూ.10,000 జరిమానా విధించారు. తుని మేజిస్ట్రేట్ చలమశెట్టి కృష్ణారావు ఒకరికి రూ.10,000 జరిమానా వేశారు.
ప్రత్తిపాడు సర్కిల్ పోలీసులు ప్రజలకు హెచ్చరిక జారీ చేశారు. రోడ్డు భద్రతా నియమాలు పాటించాలి. తాగి డ్రైవ్ చేస్తే 3 రోజుల జైలు లేదా రూ.10 వేల జరిమానా, బహిరంగ మద్యపానానికి కూడా కేసులు నమోదవుతాయని తెలిపారు.
Prattipadu Circle Cracks Down on Drunk Driving with Arrests and Fines
In a bid to curb road accidents, Prattipadu Circle police launched a special drive, conducting drunk driving checks across Eleshwaram, Annavaram, and Rautulapudi police stations from April 1 to 10, 2026.
SP Bindu Madhav Utharvula revealed that cases were registered against 29 drivers caught operating vehicles under the influence.
Prattipadu Judicial Second Class Magistrate Sharadamani sentenced four offenders to three days’ imprisonment each and fined nine others Rs 10,000 apiece. Tuni Magistrate Chalamshetty Krishna Rao imposed a Rs 10,000 fine on one more.
PRATTIPADU Police issued warnings :
Adhere to road safety rules. Drunk driving invites three days in jail or Rs 10,000 fine; public drinking also attracts cases.
