విద్యలో AI మరియు ఇతర అభివృద్ధి చెందుతున్న సాంకేతికతలను ప్రోత్సహించేందుకు విద్యా మంత్రిత్వ శాఖ యొక్క మాలవ్య మిషన్ టీచర్ ట్రైనింగ్ ప్రోగ్రామ్ కింద “కృత్రిమ మేధస్సుపై సామర్థ్య నిర్మాణ కార్యక్రమం” (Capacity Building program on Artificial Intelligence-CBAI) చేపట్టినట్లు కేంద్ర విద్యాశాఖ సహాయ మంత్రి సుకాంత మజుమ్దార్ వెల్లడించారు. విద్యలో AI నైపుణ్యాలను అభివృద్ది చేసేందుకు తీసుకుంటున్న చర్యలపై ఏలూరు ఎంపీ పుట్టా మహేష్ కుమార్ అడిగిన ప్రశ్నకు లోక్సభలో సోమవారం కేంద్ర మంత్రి సమాధానం ఇచ్చారు. AI-ఆధారిత బోధనా పద్ధతులను మెరుగుపరచడానికి, AIలో పరిశోధనలను ప్రోత్సహించడంలో అధ్యాపకులు మరియు విద్యావేత్తల సామర్థ్యాలను బలోపేతం చేయడానికి CBAI కార్యక్రమం రూపొందించబడిందని కేంద్రం మంత్రి తెలిపారు.
భారత ప్రభుత్వం జాతీయ విద్యా విధానం (NEP)కి అనుగుణంగా విద్యార్ధులలో ఆర్టిఫిషియల్ ఇంటెలిజెన్స్ (AI), డిజైన్ థింకింగ్, హోలిస్టిక్ హెల్త్, ఆర్గానిక్ లివింగ్, ఎన్విరాన్మెంటల్ ఎడ్యుకేషన్, గ్లోబల్ సిటిజన్షిప్ ఎడ్యుకేషన్ (GCED) వంటి ముఖ్యమైన నైపుణ్యాలను అభివృద్ది చేస్తున్నట్లు తెలిపారు. NEP లక్ష్యాలకు అనుగుణంగా సాంకేతిక విద్యలో AI ని ప్రోత్సహించడానికి, ఆల్ ఇండియా కౌన్సిల్ ఫర్ టెక్నికల్ ఎడ్యుకేషన్ (AICTE) ప్రత్యేక పాఠ్యాంశాలను తీసుకువచ్చిందన్న మంత్రి, ముఖ్యంగా కంప్యూటర్ సైన్స్ కాకుండా మెకానికల్, సివిల్ మరియు ఎలక్ట్రికల్ ఇంజనీరింగ్ వంటి కోర్సులు అభ్యసిస్తున్న విద్యార్ధుల కోసం ప్రత్యేకంగా AI అప్లికేషన్లను అభివృద్ది చేస్తున్నట్లు తెలిపారు.
”ఇండియాఏఐ” మిషన్ కార్యక్రమాలపై వివరాలు కోరిన ఎంపీ పుట్టా మహేష్ కుమార్ కు కేంద్ర మంత్రి సుకాంత మజుమ్దార్ సవివరంగా సమాధానం ఇచ్చారు. ఇండియా ఏఐ కంప్యూట్ కెపాసిటీ, ఇండియాఏఐ ఇన్నోవేషన్ సెంటర్ (IAIC), ఇండియాఏఐ డేటాసెట్ ప్లాట్ఫామ్, ఇండియాఏఐ అప్లికేషన్ డెవలప్మెంట్ ఇనిషియేటివ్ (IADI), ఇండియాఏఐ ఫ్యూచర్ స్కిల్స్, ఇండియాఏఐ స్టార్టప్ ఫైనాన్సింగ్, సేఫ్ & ట్రస్టెడ్ AI అనే ఏడు ప్రాథమిక కీలక అంశాలపై దృష్టి సారించడం ద్వారా కృత్రిమ మేధస్సులో భారతదేశాన్ని ప్రపంచ నాయకుడిగా నిలబెట్టాలనే దార్శనికతతో ఈ మిషన్ నడుస్తుందని వివరించారు. ఇందుకోసం 2023-24 ఆర్థిక సంవత్సరం నుండి 2027-28 ఆర్థిక సంవత్సరం వరకు మొత్తం రూ. 990.00 కోట్ల వ్యయంతో మూడు సెంటర్ ఆఫ్ ఎక్సలెన్స్ (CoEs)ల ఏర్పాటుకు కేంద్ర ప్రభుత్వం ఆమోదం తెలిపినట్లు చెప్పారు.

Union Minister of State for Education Sukanta Majumdar announced that a “Capacity Building program on Artificial Intelligence-CBAI” has been launched under the Malviya Mission Teacher Training Program of the Ministry of Education to promote AI and other emerging technologies in education. The Union Minister was replying to a question raised by Eluru MP Putta Mahesh Kumar in the Lok Sabha on Monday on the steps being taken to develop AI skills in education. The Union Minister said that the CBAI program has been designed to strengthen the capabilities of teachers and academicians in improving AI-based teaching methods and promoting research in AI. The Government of India is developing important skills like Artificial Intelligence (AI), Design Thinking, Holistic Health, Organic Living, Environmental Education, Global Citizenship Education (GCED) among students in line with the National Education Policy (NEP). The Minister said that to promote AI in technical education in line with the objectives of the NEP, the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) has brought special curricula, especially for students pursuing courses like Mechanical, Civil and Electrical Engineering, apart from Computer Science, AI applications are being developed specifically for students.
Union Minister Sukanta Majumdar gave a detailed reply to MP Putta Mahesh Kumar, who sought details on the “IndiaAI” mission programs. It was explained that this mission will be run with the vision of making India a global leader in artificial intelligence by focusing on seven fundamental key areas: India AI Compute Capacity, India AI Innovation Centre (IAIC), India AI Dataset Platform, India AI Application Development Initiative (IADI), India AI Future Skills, India AI Startup Financing, Safe & Trusted AI. For this, the Central Government has approved the establishment of three Centres of Excellence (CoEs) from the financial year 2023-24 to the financial year 2027-28 at a total cost of Rs. 990.00 crore.
