డేటా సెంటర్ ప్రాజెక్టుల్లో విదేశీ ప్రత్యక్ష పెట్టుబడులను (FDI) కేంద్ర ప్రభుత్వం ప్రోత్సహిస్తోందని కేంద్ర వాణిజ్య పరిశ్రమల శాఖ మంత్రి జితిన్ ప్రసాద చెప్పారు. భారత దేశంలో డేటా సెంటర్ ప్రాజెక్టులలో విదేశీ పెట్టుబడుల వివరాలు కోరుతూ ఏలూరు ఎంపీ పుట్టా మహేష్ కుమార్ అడిగిన ప్రశ్నకు లోక్ సభలో కేంద్ర మంత్రి సమాధానం ఇచ్చారు.
కేంద్రంలో ఎన్ డి ఏ ప్రభుత్వం వచ్చిన తర్వాత పెట్టుబడిదారులకు అనుకూలమైన విధానాలను అమలుచేస్తున్నామని చెప్పిన కేంద్ర మంత్రి , ఇందులో భాగంగానే 11 అక్టోబర్ 2022 న గెజిట్ నోటిఫికేషన్ 13/1/2017-INF జారీ చేయటం జరిగిందన్నారు. దీని ద్వారా డేటా సెంటర్లను మౌలిక సదుపాయాల ఉప రంగాల హార్మోనైజేషన్ మాస్టర్ జాబితాలో చేర్చడం జరిగిందన్నారు.
భారతదేశం ఆకర్షణీయమైన మరియు పెట్టుబడుదారులకు అనుకూలమైన గమ్యస్థానంగా ఉండేలా చూసుకోవడానికి ప్రభుత్వం FDI విధానాన్ని నిరంతరం సమీక్షిస్తుందని, ఇందుకోసం పరిశ్రమల ప్రతినిధులు, వివిధ సంఘాల సంస్థల ప్రతినిధులతో విస్తృత సంప్రదింపులు జరుపుతూ వెళుతున్నామని కేంద్ర మంత్రి జితిన్ ప్రసాద వెల్లడించారు. ఈ సందర్భంగా ఎంపీ పుట్టా మహేష్ కుమార్ మాట్లాడుతూ.. డేటా సెంటర్ ప్రాజెక్టుల్లోకి FDI ల ప్రవాహాన్ని ప్రభావితం చేసే పన్ను సంబంధిత అనుమతులు, పర్యావరణ ఆమోదాలు వంటి కీలకమైన విధానపరమైన విషయాల్లో అడ్డంకులు లేకుండా చూడాలని కోరారు.
Encouraging FDI in Data Center Projects – MP Putta Mahesh Kumar.
Union Minister of Commerce and Industry, Jitin Prasada, stated that the Central Government is encouraging Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) in data center projects. The Union Minister gave this reply in the Lok Sabha to a question asked by Eluru MP Putta Mahesh Kumar regarding the details of foreign investments in data center projects in India. The Union Minister said that after the NDA government came to power at the Centre, they have been implementing investor-friendly policies, and as part of this, Gazette Notification 13/1/2017-INF was issued on October 11, 2022. Through this, data centers have been included in the Harmonized Master List of Infrastructure Sub-sectors.
Union Minister Jitin Prasada revealed that the government continuously reviews the FDI policy to ensure that India remains an attractive and investor-friendly destination, and for this purpose, extensive consultations are being held with industry representatives and representatives of various associations and organizations. On this occasion, MP Putta Mahesh Kumar requested that obstacles be removed in key policy matters such as tax-related approvals and environmental clearances that affect the flow of FDI into data center projects.
కీలకమైన ఖనిజాల కోసం దేశవ్యాప్తంగా 9 సెంటర్స్ ఆఫ్ ఎక్సలెన్స్ లు ఏర్పాటు :
కీలకమైన, విలువైన ఖనిజాలకు సంబంధించి దేశీయ సామర్థ్యాలను బలోపేతం చేయడానికి కేంద్రీకృత పరిశోధన, అభివృద్ధి (R&D) కోసం “నేషనల్ క్రిటికల్ మినరల్స్ మిషన్ (NCMM)” కింద “సెంటర్స్ ఆఫ్ ఎక్సలెన్స్ (CoE)” ఏర్పాటు చేస్తున్నట్లు కేంద్ర బొగ్గు గనుల శాఖ మంత్రి జి. కిషన్ రెడ్డి తెలిపారు. కీలకమైన ఖనిజాల పరిశోధనల కోసం ఏర్పాటు చేస్తున్న సెంటర్స్ ఆఫ్ ఎక్సలెన్స్ (CoE) సంస్థల వివరాలు కోరుతూ ఏలూరు ఎంపీ పుట్టా మహేష్ కుమార్ అడిగిన ప్రశ్నకు లోక్ సభలో కేంద్ర మంత్రి సమాధానం ఇచ్చారు.
దీనికి సంబంధించిన మార్గదర్శకాలు 2025 ఏప్రిల్ లో జారీ చేసినట్లు తెలిపారు. ఇందుకోసం తెలంగాణలో రెండు సంస్థలు సహా మహారాష్ట్ర, ఉత్తరాఖండ్, ఝార్ఖండ్, కర్ణాటక, ఒడిస్సాలలో మొత్తంగా తొమ్మిది సంస్థలను ఎంపిక చేసామని కేంద్రమంత్రి తెలిపారు. తెలంగాణలో ఎంపిక చేసిన రెండు సంస్థలలో ఒకటి “నాన్ ఫెర్రస్ మెటీరియల్స్ టెక్నాలజీ డెవలప్మెంట్ సెంటర్ (NFTDC)” హైదరాబాద్ కాగా, రెండోది “సెంటర్ ఫర్ మెటీరియల్స్ ఫర్ ఎలక్ట్రానిక్స్ టెక్నాలజీ (CMET)” హైదరాబాద్ ఉన్నాయి. కీలకమైన ఖనిజాల పరిశోధన, అభివృద్ధి కోసం ఈ సంస్థలు పనిచేస్తాయని ఎంపీ పుట్టా మహేష్ కుమార్ కు రాతపూర్వకంగా ఇచ్చిన సమాధానంలో కేంద్ర మంత్రి తెలిపారు.
9 Centers of Excellence established nationwide for critical minerals :
Union Minister for Coal and Mines, G. Kishan Reddy, stated that “Centers of Excellence (CoE)” are being established under the “National Critical Minerals Mission (NCMM)” for focused research and development (R&D) to strengthen domestic capabilities in critical and valuable minerals. The Union Minister gave this reply in the Lok Sabha to a question asked by Eluru MP Putta Mahesh Kumar, who sought details of the Centers of Excellence being established for critical minerals research.
He stated that the guidelines for this were issued in April 2025. The Union Minister informed that a total of nine institutions have been selected for this purpose, including two institutions in Telangana, and others in Maharashtra, Uttarakhand, Jharkhand, Karnataka, and Odisha. The two institutions selected in Telangana are the “Non-Ferrous Materials Technology Development Centre (NFTDC)” in Hyderabad and the “Centre for Materials for Electronics Technology (CMET)” in Hyderabad. These institutions will work on research and development of critical minerals, the Union Minister stated in his written reply to MP Putta Mahesh Kumar.
