మండంలోని ఎల్ఎన్డీపేట గ్రామంలో బుధవారం నాటుసారా తయారీదారుల ఇళ్లను పోలవరం ఎక్సైజ్ సీఐ వీరబ్రహ్మం, ఎన్ఫోర్స్మెంట్ సిబ్బంది పోలవరం ఎస్సై పి.అప్పారావుతో కలిసి తనిఖీలు నిర్వహించారు.
అనంతరం సీఐ మాట్లాడుతూ :
పదే పదే నాటుసారా తయారు చేస్తూ పట్టుబడిన వారిపై పీడీ యాక్టు ప్రయోగించడం జరుగుతుందని హెచ్చరించారు. గతలో గ్రామ పరిసరాల్లోని నాటుసారా స్థావరాలను వారు పరిశీలించారు. ఈ తనిఖీలో ఎక్సైజ్ ఎస్సైలు ఆర్. సత్యవతి, ఫణికుమార్ తదితరులు పాల్గొన్నారు.
కొమ్ముగూడెంలో అవగాహన కార్యక్రమం :
నాటుసారా తయారీ, విక్రయించడం, రవాణా, సేవించడం చట్టరీత్యా నేరమని పోలవరం ఎస్సై పి.అప్పారావు అన్నారు.
మండలంలోని కొమ్ముగూడెం గ్రామంలో ప్రజలకు అవగాహన కార్యక్రమం నిర్వహించారు. నాటు సారా కారణంగా ప్రజల ఆరోగ్యం తీవ్రంగా దెబ్బతిని కుటుంబాలపై ఆర్థిక, సామాజిక పరిస్థితుల ప్రతికూల ప్రభావం పడుతుందన్నారు.
నాటుసారా తయారీదారులు, విక్రయదారులపై చట్టపరమైన చర్యలు తీసుకుంటామని ఎస్సై హెచ్చరించారు.
Inspections Conducted at the Houses of Illicit Liquor Manufacturers
On Wednesday, officials conducted inspections at the residences of illicit liquor (country liquor) manufacturers in L.N.D. Peta village of the mandal. The inspections were carried out jointly by Polavaram Excise Circle Inspector (CI) Veerabrahmam, Enforcement personnel, and Polavaram
Sub-Inspector (SI) P. Apparao CI’s Statement :
Speaking on the occasion, CI Veerabrahmam warned that the Preventive Detention (PD) Act would be invoked against habitual offenders who are repeatedly caught manufacturing illicit liquor.
Earlier, the officials also inspected suspected illicit liquor brewing sites located in and around the village. The inspection team included Excise Sub-Inspectors R. Satyavathi, Phani Kumar, and other staff members.
Awareness Programme Held at Kommugudem
Polavaram SI P. Apparao stated that the manufacture, sale, transportation, and consumption of illicit liquor are punishable offences under the law.
An awareness programme was conducted for the public in Kommugudem village, where the SI explained the harmful effects of illicit liquor. He noted that the consumption of illicit liquor severely affects people’s health and has adverse economic and social consequences for families.
The SI further warned that strict legal action would be taken against those involved in the manufacture and sale of illicit liquor.
