ఏలూరు నగరంలో విలీనమైన గ్రామాలను నగరానికి ఏమాత్రం తీసిపోకుండా అభివృద్ధి చేయడమే తమ లక్ష్యమని జిల్లా తెలుగుదేశం పార్టీ అధ్యక్షులు, ఏలూరు ఎమ్మెల్యే బడేటి చంటి పేర్కొన్నారు. విలీన ప్రాంతాల్లో మౌలిక సదుపాయాల కల్పనకు కోట్లాది రూపాయల నిధులు వెచ్చిస్తూ సమగ్ర అభివృద్ధి కార్యక్రమాలు చేపడుతున్నామని ఆయన తెలిపారు.
స్థానిక 5వ డివిజన్ పరిధిలోని వినాయక్నగర్ వాటర్ట్యాంక్ రోడ్డు ప్రాంత ప్రజలు ఇటీవల తమ ప్రాంతంలో రహదారులు, డ్రైన్లు, తాగునీటి సమస్యలు తీవ్రంగా ఉన్నాయని ఎమ్మెల్యే దృష్టికి తీసుకెళ్లారు. ఈ నేపథ్యంలో బుధవారం ఆర్టీసీ విజయవాడ జోన్-2 చైర్మన్ రెడ్డి అప్పలనాయుడుతో కలిసి ఎమ్మెల్యే చంటి ఆ ప్రాంతంలో విస్తృతంగా పర్యటించి స్థానికులతో ముఖాముఖి మాట్లాడారు.
ప్రజలు ఎదుర్కొంటున్న సమస్యలను స్వయంగా అడిగి తెలుసుకున్న ఎమ్మెల్యే, రహదారుల దుస్థితి, డ్రైనేజీ సమస్యలు, తాగునీటి ఇబ్బందులపై అధికారులతో అక్కడికక్కడే చర్చించి తక్షణ చర్యలకు ఆదేశాలు జారీ చేశారు. ప్రజల విజ్ఞప్తి మేరకు ఒక ప్రధాన రహదారి నిర్మాణ పనులను అత్యవసర ప్రాతిపదికన ప్రారంభిస్తామని ప్రకటించారు. డ్రైనేజీ సమస్యల పరిష్కారానికి కూడా ప్రత్యేక చర్యలు తీసుకుంటామని హామీ ఇచ్చారు.
అదేవిధంగా విలీన ప్రాంతాల్లో తాగునీటి సమస్యకు శాశ్వత పరిష్కారం కల్పించే దిశగా రూ.1.43 కోట్ల వ్యయంతో నీటి ట్యాంకుల నిర్మాణ పనులు చేపడుతున్నట్లు ఎమ్మెల్యే వెల్లడించారు. 2027 డిసెంబర్ నాటికి ఈ పనులు పూర్తి చేసి ప్రతి ఇంటికీ కుళాయి ద్వారా గోదావరి జలాలను సమృద్ధిగా అందించేలా చర్యలు తీసుకుంటామని తెలిపారు.
ఎమ్మెల్యే ప్రకటించిన అభివృద్ధి కార్యక్రమాలకు స్థానికులు హర్షం వ్యక్తం చేస్తూ కరతాళ ధ్వనులతో స్వాగతించారు. ప్రజల అవసరాలకు అనుగుణంగా విలీన ప్రాంతాల్లో మౌలిక సదుపాయాల కల్పనకు ప్రభుత్వం కట్టుబడి ఉందని ఎమ్మెల్యే చంటి స్పష్టం చేశారు.
Crores of Rupees Allocated for Development of Merged Villages
MLA Chanti Assures Resolution of Roads, Drainage and Drinking Water Issues in Vinayak Nagar
District Telugu Desam Party (TDP) President and Eluru MLA, Badeti Chanti, stated that the government’s objective is to develop the villages merged into Eluru city on par with the urban areas. He said that comprehensive development works are being undertaken in the merged regions with the expenditure of crores of rupees to provide essential infrastructure and improve living standards.
Residents of the Water Tank Road area in Vinayak Nagar, under the jurisdiction of the 5th Division, recently brought to the MLA’s attention the severe issues relating to roads, drainage, and drinking water supply in their locality. In response, on Wednesday, MLA Chanti, along with RTC Vijayawada Zone-II Chairman Reddy Appala Naidu, conducted an extensive visit to the area and interacted directly with local residents.
The MLA personally enquired about the problems faced by the people and reviewed the poor condition of roads, drainage deficiencies, and drinking water issues. He immediately discussed the matter with officials on-site and directed them to initiate prompt corrective measures. Responding to public requests, he announced that construction of a key road in the locality would be taken up on a priority basis. He also assured residents that special measures would be implemented to address drainage-related problems.
Further, the MLA revealed that water tank construction works worth ₹1.43 crore are being undertaken to provide a permanent solution to drinking water issues in the merged areas. He stated that the project is expected to be completed by December 2027, ensuring an adequate supply of Godavari drinking water to every household through pipeline connections.
Local residents welcomed the development announcements with applause and expressed their appreciation. MLA Chanti reiterated that the government remains committed to providing essential infrastructure and improving civic amenities in the merged areas in accordance with the needs and aspirations of the people.
