ప్రస్తుతం ఎండ తీవ్రత 10 గంటల నుంచి నాలుగు గంటల వరకు 40 డిగ్రీలు దాటి ఉంటున్నందున ప్రజలు ముఖ్యంగా వృద్ధులు, చిన్నపిల్లలు ఎండలో తిరగరాదని, ప్రజలు కూడా ఎండలో తిరగ కూడదని ఒకవేళ తప్పనిసరి పరిస్థితుల్లో బయటికి వెళ్ళవలసి వస్తే తలపై టోపీ గాని, తెల్లటి వస్త్రంగాని ధరించి మంచినీరు అందుబాటులో పెట్టుకుని వెళ్లవలసిందిగా ఆయన సూచించారు.
ఉదయం 10 గంటలు దాటిన తర్వాత ఎండలో తిరగరాదు . మరల సాయంత్రం నాలుగు గంటలు దాటిన తర్వాత మాత్రమే బయటికి వచ్చేలాగా తగు జాగ్రత్తలు తీసుకోవాలని ఉంగుటూరు ఎంపీడీవో జి ఆర్ మనోజ్ తెలియజేశారు.
పంచాయతీ కార్యదర్శులతో TC లో మాట్లాడిన ఎంపీడీవో :
గురువారం మధ్యాహ్నం జరిగిన టెలికాన్ఫరెన్స్ లో పంచాయతీ కార్యదర్శులకు తగు సూచనలు జారీ చేశారు. గ్రామాల్లో ప్రధానమైన సెంటర్ లవద్ద చలివేంద్రాలు ఏర్పాటు చేయాలని ఇప్పటికే ఏర్పాటు చేసిన చలివేంద్రాల్లో నీరు తగినంత ఉండేవిధంగా చర్యలు తీసుకోవాలని, ఉపాది హామీ శ్రామికులు ఉదయం 6 గంటలకు పనుల్లోకి వెళ్లి 10 గంటల లోపే ఇంటికి వచ్చే విధంగా క్షేత్ర సహాయకులు చర్యలు తీసుకోవాలని ఆయన సూచించారు.
అదేవిధంగా వృద్ధులు చిన్నపిల్లలు ఎండలో తిరగకుండా ఇంటిపట్టునే ఉండేలాగున మరియు దాహం వేసినా.. వేయకపోయినా తగు మోతాదులో మంచినీళ్లు ఎక్కువగా తీసుకోవాలని ఆయన సూచించారు.
అంతేకాకుండా మండలంలో ఏర్పాటు చేసిన పశువుల తొట్లలో నీరు సమృద్ధిగా ఉండే విధంగా తొట్లని నీటితో నింపవలసిందిగా ఈ మేరకు పశుసంవర్ధక శాఖ సహాయకుల పర్యవేక్షణలో పశువుల తొట్లన్నీ నీటితో నిండి ఉండే విధంగా చర్యలు తీసుకోవాలని ఆయన సూచించారు. గ్రామాల్లో మంచినీటి సమస్య ఎక్కడ తలెత్తకుండా తగు జాగ్రత్త చర్యలు తీసుకోవాలని ఆయన అందరూ పంచాయతీ కార్యదర్శులకు తెలియజేశారు.
Eluru district officials warn residents to take heatwave precautions
Eluru, May 21 — With daytime temperatures in Unguturu mandal soaring above 40°C between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m., Mandal Development Officer G.R. Manoj has urged residents—especially the elderly and young children—to avoid going outdoors during peak heat hours. He advised anyone who must go out to wear a hat or light-colored clothing and carry sufficient drinking water.
In a Thursday teleconference with panchayat secretaries, Manoj issued specific instructions to ensure community cooling centres remain operational and stocked with adequate water. He asked field assistants to schedule MGNREGS and other labourers to start work at 6 a.m. and return home before 10 a.m., minimizing exposure to extreme heat.
Manoj also advised households to keep vulnerable family members indoors and to increase fluid intake even if they do not feel thirsty. The Mandal Development Office directed veterinary staff to ensure all cattle troughs are filled so livestock have continuous access to water.
He emphasized that panchayats must proactively prevent potable water shortages in villages and implement necessary measures immediately. The MDO warned residents to remain vigilant and follow these precautions until temperatures subside.
