రాష్ట్ర ప్రభుత్వ ఆదేశాల మేరకు ప్రతి నెలా మూడవ శనివారం నిర్వహించే స్వచ్ఛ ఆంధ్ర – స్వర్ణ ఆంధ్ర (SASA) కార్యక్రమం ఈరోజు తాడేపల్లిగూడెం పురపాలక సంఘ కార్యాలయంలో కమిషనర్ ఎం. యేసుబాబు ఆధ్వర్యంలో ఘనంగా నిర్వహించారు.
ఈ కార్యక్రమంలో “ప్లాస్టిక్ వినియోగం వద్దు – పర్యావరణ పరిరక్షణే మన ధ్యేయం” అనే అంశంపై ప్రత్యేక అవగాహన కల్పించారు. కార్యక్రమం అనంతరం పురపాలక సిబ్బంది, సచివాలయ సెక్రటరీలు, సానిటరీ సిబ్బంది అందరూ సింగిల్ యూజ్ ప్లాస్టిక్ను వినియోగించబోమని, ప్రజల్లో కూడా అవగాహన కల్పిస్తామని ప్రతిజ్ఞ చేశారు.
ఈ సందర్భంగా కమిషనర్ యేసుబాబు మాట్లాడుతూ :
ప్లాస్టిక్ రహిత పట్టణంగా తాడేపల్లిగూడెంను తీర్చిద్దేందుకు ప్రతి ఒక్కరూ బాధ్యతగా వ్యవహరించాలని, వ్యాపారులు, ప్రజలు ప్రత్యామ్నాయ వస్తువులను వినియోగించాలని కోరారు. ప్లాస్టిక్ నిషేధాన్ని కఠినంగా అమలు చేస్తామని తెలిపారు.
ఈ కార్యక్రమంలో పురపాలక సంఘ అధికారులు, సిబ్బంది, సచివాలయ సిబ్బంది పెద్ద సంఖ్యలో పాల్గొన్నారు.
Under the supervision of Commissioner M. Yesubabu, the municipal office hosted a vibrant Swachh Andhra–Swarna Andhra (SASA) programme today, held as part of the state government’s monthly third‑Saturday drive. Officials focussed on the theme “Avoid Plastic Use — Protect the Environment,” raising public awareness about the harms of single‑use plastics. Following the session, municipal staff, secretariat clerks and sanitation workers pledged to stop using single‑use plastics and to educate residents about alternatives.
Commissioner Yesubabu urged citizens and businesses to act responsibly to transform Tadepalligudem into a plastic‑free town and warned that the plastic ban will be strictly enforced. A large number of municipal and secretariat personnel attended the event
