భీమడోలు ఐసీడీఎస్ ప్రాజెక్ట్ ఆధ్వర్యంలో… ఉంగుటూరు మండలం ఎంపీడీఓ కార్యాలయంలో మండల స్థాయి బాల్యవివాహ నిరోధక అధికారులకు శిక్షణ కార్యక్రమం నిర్వహించారు.

గ్రామాలలో బాల్యవివాహ సమాచారం తెలిసిన వెంటనే CMPOలు తీసుకోవాల్సిన తక్షణ చర్యలు, వారి ప్రాథమిక విధులు, అలాగే బాల్యవివాహాల నిరోధానికి సంబంధించి GO నం.31 మరియు 39 అమలుపై సమగ్ర అవగాహన కల్పించారు.

బాల్యవివాహాలు ఒక సామాజిక దురాచారమని, వాటి నిర్మూలనకు అన్ని శాఖల సమన్వయంతో పాటు ప్రజల భాగస్వామ్యం ఎంతో అవసరమని పేర్కొన్నారు.
భీమడోలు ఐసీడీఎస్ ప్రాజెక్టు సీడీపీఓ సునీల్ రాజశేఖర్ మాట్లాడుతూ :
బాల్యవివాహాలు జరిపిన వారిపై చట్టపరమైన కఠిన చర్యలు తీసుకోవడమే కాకుండా, వారి పైన కేసులు నమోదు చేసే పరిస్థితులు ఉన్నాయి అని తెలియజేశారు. బాల్యవివాహాలపై విస్తృత స్థాయిలో అవగాహన కార్యక్రమాలు నిర్వహించాలని సూచించారు. ఎక్కడైనా బాల్యవివాహం జరుగుతున్నట్లు సమాచారం తెలిస్తే వెంటనే చైల్డ్ హెల్ప్లైన్ 1098 లేదా 112 నెంబర్లకు సమాచారం అందించాలని ఏలూరు జిల్లా చైల్డ్ హెల్ప్లైన్ ప్రతినిధి వై.వి. రాజు కోరారు.
బాల్యవివాహ వ్యతిరేక 100 రోజుల కార్యాచరణలో భాగంగా బాల్యవివాహ వ్యతిరేక ప్రతిజ్ఞ చేశారు.
ఈ కార్యక్రమంలో డీసీపీయూ సిబ్బంది సునీత, సెక్టార్ ఐసీడీఎస్ సూపర్వైజర్లు, అంగన్వాడీ కార్యకర్తలు, పంచాయితీ అధికారులు, సచివాలయ సిబ్బంది, అంగన్వాడీ కార్యకర్తలు, క్రాఫ్ ఎన్జీఓ మరియు ప్రజా ప్రతినిధులు పాల్గొన్నారు.
A capacity-building programme on preventing child marriages was organised at the Unguturu MPDO office under the Bhimadolu ICDS Project as part of the Women and Child Development Department’s “Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao” initiative.
Unguturu MPDO Raj Manoj explained the immediate steps Child Marriage Prohibition Officers (CMPOs) must take upon receiving information about a child marriage, their core responsibilities, and the implementation of GO No. 31 and 39 relating to the prohibition of child marriages. Unguturu MRO Poorna Chandra Rao termed child marriage a serious social evil and stressed that its eradication requires coordination among all departments alongside active public participation.
Bhimadolu ICDS CDPO Sunil Rajasekhar stated that stringent legal action, including registration of criminal cases, will be taken against those conducting child marriages. Eluru District Child Helpline representative Y.V. Raju appealed to the public to immediately report suspected child marriages to Childline 1098 or 112. As part of the 100-day anti–child marriage campaign, an anti–child marriage pledge was administered. DCPU staff, ICDS supervisors, Anganwadi workers, panchayat and secretariat staff, NGO representatives and public representatives participated.
