Municipal Corporation Commissioner Ketan Garg has called upon donors to cooperate in programs undertaken with the partnership of the government, donors, and the public.

On Friday, as per the directives of the state government, P-4 meeting programs were conducted within the city limits. These included meetings at Lalacheruvu near the N.T.R. statue for wards 1, 2, and 50, at the Municipal Stadium for wards 25, 26, 27, 28, and 29, and in the afternoon at the Jamapeta fish market for wards 24, 30, 32, and 33.

The Andhra Pradesh state government has launched the ambitious Swarnandhra-2047 initiative, aiming to uplift the 20% most impoverished people in the state through the “partnership of government, donors, and the public.” He stated that this initiative seeks to eradicate poverty by securing the cooperation of the top 10% economically well-off individuals or Telugu expatriates, laying the foundation for the P-4 approach. As part of implementing the P-4 policy, a house-to-house survey was conducted from March 8, 2025, to March 20, 2025, to collect data on the 20% poorest individuals, categorized by wards. On March 21, 2025, ward meetings were held in 13 wards under the Municipal Corporation’s jurisdiction at Lalacheruvu, Municipal Stadium, and Jamapeta areas, where the collected details were presented.In these ward meetings, Additional Municipal Corporation Commissioner P.V. Rama Lingeshwar, Superintendent Engineer M.C.H. Koteswara Rao, City Planner G. Kotaiah, Deputy Commissioner S. Venkata Ramana, Secretary Shailajavalli, other officials, representatives of the respective wards, and local residents participated.
