మొంథా తుఫాన్ కారణంగా క్షేత్రస్థాయిలో తనిఖీలు చేపట్టిన డ్వామా, రంపచోడవరం అసిస్టెంట్ ప్రాజెక్ట్ డైరెక్టర్ తూతిక శ్రీనివాస విశ్వనాధ్ మంగళవారం మండలంలో మారేడుమిల్లి గ్రామ పంచాయతీ అద్దర వీధిలో రైతు కేలెళ చిన్నారెడ్డి ఉద్యానవన జఫ్రా పొలాన్ని తనిఖీ చేసారు. ఈ సందర్బంగా రైతు పొలం చుట్టూ జీవ కంచె (బయో ఫెన్సింగ్) లేకపోవడన్ని తీవ్రంగా పరిగణించి సిబ్బందిపై ఆగ్రహం వ్యక్తం చేసారు.
ఏజెన్సీ ప్రాంతంలో గిరిజనుల జీవనోపాధి కోసం ప్రభుత్వం కోట్ల రూపాయిలు ఖర్చు చేసి రైతులకు ఉచితంగా ఉద్యానవన మొక్కలు పంపిణి చేస్తుందని, మొక్కలను సంరక్షించే భాద్యత రైతుతో పాటు ఉపాధిహామీ సిబ్బందిదని ఏపీడీ అన్నారు. జీవకంచె లేకపోతే మొక్కలు పశువులబారిన పడి పంట పాడై రైతులు నష్టపోవడమే కాకుండా గిరిజనులను ఆర్ధికంగా ఆదుకోవాలన్నా ప్రభుత్వ లక్ష్యం కూడా నెరవేరదని ఏపీడీ శ్రీనివాస విశ్వనాధ్ సిబ్బందికి క్లాస్ తీసుకున్నారు.
2025-2026 ఆర్ధిక సంవత్సరంలో ప్రభుత్వం రంపచోడవరం క్లస్టరులో ఉన్న మారేడుమిల్లి, దేవుపట్నం, వై. రామవరం, రంపచోడవరం మండలంలో ఉన్న 17 వందల 29 మంది రైతులకు గాను 2 లక్షల 27 వేల 181 మొక్కలు మంజూరు చేసిందని వీటి ద్వారా 2 వేల 23 ఎకరాలలో ఉద్యానపంటల అభివృద్ధి జరగాలని లక్ష్యం పెట్టుకొని మహాత్మా గాంధీ జాతీయ ఉపాధిహామీ సిబ్బంది పని చేస్తున్నారని అన్నారు.
కలెక్టర్ దినేష్ కుమార్, రంపచోడవరం ప్రాజెక్ట్ అధికారి బచ్చు స్మరణ్ రాజ్, డ్వామా ప్రాజెక్ట్ డైరెక్టర్ డివి విద్యాసాగర్ ఆదేశాలు మేరకు ప్రభుత్వం గిరిజనులకు ఉచితంగా పంపిణి చేసిన మొక్కలన్ని వంద శాతం బ్రతికి రైతులకు జీవనోపాధి కలగాలని ఏపీడీ శ్రీనివాస విశ్వనాధ్ అన్నారు. మొంథా తూఫాన్ కారణంగా ఉపాధి సిబ్బంది అప్రమత్తంగా ఉండాలని, శ్రామికుల సంక్షేమమే ధ్యేయంగా పనిచేయాలని శ్రీనివాస విశ్వనాధ్ కోరారు.
ఈ తనిఖీలో ఏపీడితో పాటు జూనియర్ ఇంజనీర్ బి. శ్రీనివాస్, సాంకేతిక సహాయకులు పి. రామిరెడ్డి తదితరులు పాల్గొన్నారు.

APD Srinivasa Viswanath Pulls Up Staff for Neglecting Bio-Fencing in Tribal Horticulture Fields.
Assistant Project Director (APD) for DWMA and Rampachodavaram, Thootika Srinivasa Viswanath, expressed strong displeasure at field staff for failing to set up bio-fencing along horticulture plots under the government’s tribal development initiative. Conducting inspections in Maredumilli mandal on Tuesday following the recent montha cyclone, the APD visited the horticulture garden of farmer Kalele Chinnareddy in the Addaraveedhi locality.
During the inspection, Viswanath observed that the absence of protective fencing around the plants was leading to the risk of livestock damage and crop loss. He warned that such negligence undermines both the welfare of tribal farmers and the government’s long-term goal of sustaining livelihoods through horticultural development in agency regions.Viswanath emphasized that while the government spends crores of rupees every year distributing saplings free of cost to tribal farmers, the responsibility of nurturing these plants lies equally with farmers and MGNREGS field staff.
He cautioned that without proper measures such as bio-fencing, the plants could be destroyed before maturing, causing economic hardship to tribals and defeating the purpose of the welfare scheme.Under the 2025–26 financial year plan, the government has sanctioned 227,181 saplings to benefit 1,729 farmers across four mandals—Maredumilli, Devipatnam, Y. Ramavaram, and Rampachodavaram—covering an estimated 2,023 acres of horticulture development. The initiative is being implemented through the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (MGNREGS).Viswanath, acting on the directions of District Collector Dinesh Kumar, Project Officer Bachu Smaran Raj, and DWMA Project Director D.V. Vidyasagar, instructed officials to ensure that every distributed plant survives to full growth, thereby guaranteeing sustainable income for tribal families. He urged employment guarantee staff to remain vigilant during the cyclone season and work with a strong sense of responsibility toward labour welfare.
Junior Engineer B. Srinivas and technical assistants P. Ramireddy, among others, accompanied the APD during the field inspection.
