కొత్తపేట ఆర్డీవో కార్యాలయంలో సాగునీటి అవగాహనపై ఇరిగేషన్ సిబ్బంది నీటి సంఘం అధ్యక్షులు, డిసీలతో పంట పొలాలకు సాగునీరు అందించేలా యంత్రాంగం పనిచేయాలని ఆర్డిఓ పిలుపునిచ్చారు.

రానున్న పంటలకు కాలువలు బోదులు శుభ్రపరచి పంట పొలాలకు నీరు అందించాలని తెలియజేశారు. అయితే అలమూరు మండల చింతలూరు నీటి సంఘం అధ్యక్షులు కొంత అసంతృప్తి వ్యక్తం చేశారు.

సంవత్సర కాలంగా అప్పులు చేసి పంట కాలువలు బోదులు శుభ్రపరిచామని ఇంతవరకు వాటి నిధులు విడుదల చేయలేదని ప్రభుత్వం చొరవ తీసుకునీ నిధులు విడుదల చేస్తే తిరిగి మరల కొత్త పనులు చేయడానికి అవకాశం ఉంటుందని లేకుంటే కాలువలు శుభ్రం చేసిన తరువాత వ్యర్థాలను పంచాయతీ సిబ్బందితో తొలగించపోవడం వల్ల తిరిగే కాలువలు వ్యర్థాలతో మూసుకుపోతున్నాయి. ప్రజలుచెత్త చెదారం కాలువలో వేస్తుంటే నీటి సంఘం చైర్మన్లు ఇరిగేషన్ యంత్రాంగం ఏమి చేయగలుగుతామని చింతలూరు నీటి సంఘం అధ్యక్షులు విచారం వ్యక్తం చేశారు.
కార్యక్రమానికి ఆలమూరు మండల డిసి మెర్ల గోపాల స్వామి,నరసింహారావు తదితర నీటి సంఘం అధ్యక్షులు పాల్గొన్నారు.

At Kotipeta in the RDO office convened an irrigation awareness meeting emphasizing timely water supply for crops. RDO Sriker urged irrigation staff, water union leaders, and village officials to ensure canals and channels are cleaned to deliver water efficiently to fields for the upcoming season.
However, Alamuru Mandal’s Chintaluru water union president, Garapati Srinivas, expressed dissatisfaction over delayed funds. He stated that despite clearing canals and channels, the government has yet to release reimbursement funds for the work done throughout the year. Without these funds, initiating new projects is challenging. Srinivas highlighted the problem of waste disposal along canals by local panchayat members, which leads to blockages, raising concerns about the irrigation department’s capacity to manage these issues
The event saw participation from Alamuru Mandal DC Merla Gopala Swami, Narasimha Rao, and other water union leaders, reinforcing the call for coordinated action to maintain irrigation infrastructure and support farmers effectively.
