భారతదేశ మొదటి ఉప ప్రధాన మంత్రి మరియు మాజీ హోంమంత్రి సర్దార్ వల్లభభాయ్ పటేల్ జయంతి సందర్భంగా.. నేడు జాతీయ ఐక్యత దినోత్సవం (National Unity Day) ను పురస్కరించుకొని కాకినాడ జిల్లా SP బిందు మాధవ్ ఆధ్వర్యంలో.. జిల్లా పోలీసు సిబ్బంది పాల్గొన్న “యూనిటీ రన్” కార్యక్రమం నిర్వహించారు.
నాగమల్లి తొటా జంక్షన్ నుండి బాణుగుడి జంక్షన్ వరకు కొనసాగిన యూనిటీ రన్ కార్యక్రమంలో.. జిల్లా ఎస్పీ బిందు మాధవ్ స్వయంగా పాల్గొని ప్రజలకు ఐక్యత, ఏకత భావాన్ని ప్రదర్శించారు.
అనంతరం జిల్లా పోలీసు ప్రధాన కార్యాలయం వద్ద సర్దార్ వల్లభభాయ్ పటేల్ చిత్రపటానికి పూలమాలలు వేసి నివాళులు అర్పించి, పోలీసు సిబ్బందితో కలిసి జాతీయ ఐక్యత ప్రమాణ స్వీకారం నిర్వహించారు.
కార్యక్రమంలో కాకినాడ ఏఎస్పీ దేవరాజ్ మనీష్ పటేల్ , ఏఆర్ అదనపు ఎస్పీ శ్రీనివాస్ , ఏఆర్ డీఎస్పీ శ్రీహరి , సర్కిల్ ఇన్స్పెక్టర్లు, సబ్ఇన్స్పెక్టర్లు, కానిస్టేబుళ్లు మరియు ఇతర పోలీసు సిబ్బంది పాల్గొన్నారు.

Kakinada Police Lead ‘Unity Run’ Marking National Unity
Marking the birth anniversary of India’s first Deputy Prime Minister and former Home Minister Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the Kakinada district police organized a spirited “Unity Run” on the occasion of National Unity Day under the leadership of District Superintendent of Police (SP) Bindu Madhav.
The event, aimed at promoting the values of unity, integrity, and national cohesion, began at Nagamalli Thota Junction and concluded at Bhanugudi Junction. SP Bindu Madhav personally led the run alongside officers and personnel, setting an inspiring example of teamwork and collective spirit. Speaking on the significance of the day, he emphasized that Sardar Patel’s vision of a united nation continues to guide India’s strength and stability.
Following the run, a solemn ceremony was held at the district police headquarters. Officers and personnel paid floral tributes to a portrait of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel before taking the National Unity Pledge to reaffirm their commitment to upholding the country’s unity and integrity.
Additional SP (AR) Srinivas, ASP Devaraj Manish Patel, DSP (AR) Srihari, Circle Inspectors, Sub-Inspectors, constables, and other staff members participated actively in the event. The run drew attention from the local public, many of whom gathered along the route in support of the police initiative.
The Kakinada police department’s observance of National Unity Day highlighted the enduring relevance of Patel’s ideals and served as a reminder of every citizen’s role in strengthening the fabric of national solidarity.
